The antenna(s) used for this transmitter must not be co-located or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter within a host device. End-users must be provided with specific information required to satisfy RF exposure compliance for final host devices. For portable exposure conditions: maximum radiated power tested for the host computer described in previous filing is: Part 22 ERP 0.513 W, Part 24 EIRP 0.851 W. The device has been tested for SAR compliance in three notebook computers with side PCMCIA slots, and in three palmtop computers with rear PCMCIA slot, as described in this filing, and can be used in notebook and palmtop computers with substantially similar physical dimensions, construction, and electrical and RF characteristics. For body worn operation with palmtop computers, the SAR results are applicable to accessories that contain no metal and that position the host device a minimum of 1.5 cm from the body. Use of other accessories may not ensure compliance with RF exposure guidelines. Compliance of this device in all final host configurations is the responsibility of the Grantee. SAR compliance was evaluated for the specific detachable antenna shown in this filing. The maximum reported SAR values for three-host testing are: Part 22 - body: 1.12 W/kg, Part 24 - body: 1.33 W/kg For mobile RF exposure conditions: Modular transmitter. The maximum antenna gain must not exceed 6 dBi for Part 22 and 5.2 dBi for Part 24. The antenna installation and operating configurations of this transmitter, including antenna gain and cable loss must satisfy MPE categorical Exclusion Requirements of 2.1091. The antenna(s) used for this transmitter must be installed to provide a separation distance of at least 20 cm from all persons.
