Compliance of this device in all final host configurations is the responsibility of the Grantee. This device is to be used only for mobile and fixed applications. The antenna(s) used for this transmitter must be installed to provide a separation distance of at least 20cm from all persons and must not transmit simultaneously with any other antenna or transmitter, except in accordance with FCC multi­transmitter product procedures. The antenna installation and operating configurations of this transmitter, including antenna gain and cable loss must satisfy MPE categorical Exclusion Requirements of §2.1091. The antenna(s) used for this transmitter must not exceed a maximum gain of 5.0dBi in Cellular band, 3.0dBi in PCS band, 5.5dBi in AWS band, and 5.0 dBi in 700 MHz band as evaluated in this filing. OEM integrators must be provided with antenna installation instructions and labeling requirements for finished products. OEM integrators and end­Users must be provided with transmitter operation conditions for satisfying RF exposure compliance. This grant is valid only when the device is sold to OEM integrators and the OEM integrators are instructed to ensure that the end user has no manual instructions to remove or install the device. Separate approval is required for all other operating configurations, including portable configurations with respect to 2.1093 and different antenna configurations. (Date of Grant: 07/25/2013) Class II Permissive Change: This Class II Permissive Change is to update the HW version to be PR4.5, update the SW version to be FIH7160_MODEM_01.1338.03, and swap the location of auxiliary and main antenna connectors. C2PC for addressing the RF Exposure, to allow this module to operate in conjunction with other collocated radio transmitters. This device must use a BIOS lock mechanism which ensures that it only operates with the Lenovo hosts as specified in this filing. For mobile and fixed operating configurations the antenna gain, including cable loss, must not exceed 9 dBi at 700 MHz and 2500 MHz, 5 dBi at 850 MHz and 1700 MHz and 3 dBi at 1900 MHz, as defined in 2.1091 for satisfying RF exposure compliance. Under no conditions may an antenna gain be used that would exceed the ERP and EIRP power limits as specified in Parts 22, 24 and 27. The Grantee is responsible for providing the documentation required for modular use.
