User Manual Since this module is not sold to general end users directly, there is no user manual of module. For the details about this module, please refer to the specification sheet of module. This module should be installed in the host device according to the interface specification
(installation procedure). The following information must be indicated on the host device of this module;
[for FCC]
Contains Transmitter Module FCC ID: 2AOI7-CDV18A or Contains FCC ID: 2AOI7-CDV18A This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and
(2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
*If it is difficult to describe this statement on the host product due to the size, please describe in the User's manual.
[for IC]
Contains IC: 23556-CDV18A The following statements must be described on the user manual of the host device of this module;
[for FCC]
FCC CAUTION Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the users authority to operate the equipment. This transmitter must not be co-located or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. The available scientific evidence does not show that any health problems are associated with using low power wireless devices. There is no proof, however, that these low power wireless devices are absolutely safe. Low power Wireless devices emit low levels of radio frequency energy (RF) in the microwave range while being used. Whereas high levels of RF can produce health effects (by heating tissue), exposure of low-level RF that does not produce heating effects causes no known adverse health effects. Many studies of low-level RF exposures have not found any biological effects. Some studies have suggested that some biological effects might occur, but such findings have not been confirmed by additional research. TYPE1FJ has been tested and found to comply with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment and meets the FCC radio frequency (RF) Exposure Guidelines.
[for ISED]
This device complies with ISEDs applicable licence-exempt RSSs. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause interference; and
(2) This device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device. Le prsent appareil est conforme aux CNR d ISED applicables aux appareils radio exempts de licence. Lexploitation est autorise aux deux conditions suivantes :
1) lappareil ne doit pas produire de brouillage;
2) lutilisateur de lappareil doit accepter tout brouillage radiolectrique subi, mme si le brouillage est susceptible den compromettre le fonctionnement. The available scientific evidence does not show that any health problems are associated with using low power wireless devices. There is no proof, however, that these low power wireless devices are absolutely safe. TYPE1FJ has been tested and found to comply with ISED radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment and meets RSS-102 of the ISED radio frequency
(RF) Exposure rules. End Product Labeling This transmitter module is authorized only for use in devices where the final end product must be labeled in visible area with the following:
Contains FCC ID: 2AOI7-CDV18A and IC : 23556-CDV18A This device is intended only for OEM integrators under the following conditions:
The OEM integrator is still responsible for testing their end-product for any additional compliance requirements required with this module installed. As long as the above conditions is met, further transmitter test will not be required. However, the OEM integrator is still responsible for testing their end-product for any additional compliance requirements required with this module installed. IMPORTANT NOTE:
In the event that these conditions cannot be met (for example co-location with another transmitter), then the FCC / IC authorization is no longer considered valid and the FCC / IC ID cannot be used on the final product. In these circumstances, the OEM integrator will be responsible for re-evaluating the end product (including the transmitter) and obtaining a separate FCC / IC authorization. As long as a condition above is met, further transmitter test will not be required. However, the OEM integrator is still responsible for testing their end product for any additional compliance requirements required with this module installed (for example, digital device emissions, PC peripheral requirements, etc.) Manual Information to the End user The OEM integrator has to be aware not to provide information to the end user regarding how to install or remove this RF module in the users manual of the end product which integrates this module. The end user manual shall include all required regulatory information/warning as show in this manual. Antenna Restriction The antenna is designed as permanent attached and no consideration of replacement. 1
