Roady BT Feature Guide In-Vehicle Radio Introduction Whats Included Display Controller Unit (Front) Display Controller Unit (Rear) Intelligent Power Adapter Display Cable Magnetic Adapter Vent Mount Dash Mount Extra Adhesive Magnetic Mount Antenna AUX Audio Cable 2 Roady BT Feature Guide Introduction Roady BT Summary Roady BT is the newest satellite radio from SiriusXM which eliminates the need for a vehicle dock. Roady BT is comprised of a Display Control Unit (DCU) and a Intelligent Power Adapter (IPA) connected by a single cable, with the satellite module contained in the IPA. The satellite antenna, and the AUX or FM connections (if used), are made directly to the IPA, eliminating the need for a vehicle dock and wires connected to it. New for Roady BT is a magnetic mounting system for the display (DCU). A magnet is attached to the vent or dash mount using the peel-and-stick adhesive on the magnet, and then the magnet and mount are magnetically attached to a metallic area on the rear of the Roady BT display, securely holding the display in place. The display can be removed from the magnet and stored in a secure place to prevent theft, if desired. Vent and dash mounts are included as in-box mounting solutions, but the new magnetic mounting system provides flexibility for other aftermarket mounting solutions, purchased separately. Roady BT adds Bluetooth audio capability to the audio connection options for easily connecting the SiriusXM audio to a vehicle headunit. Legacy options of AUX and FM (FMDA required) are also offered as optional audio connection solutions. The software update process consists of downloading the software update file to a PC from the SiriusXM product support page and then copying the software update to the DCU via a USB cable. Once downloaded to the DCU, the DCU is reconnected to the CLA and powered on, and the listener selects Software Update from the Menu settings to complete the update. A USB cable is required. Channels may also be tuned from the category browsing screens. 12 Roady BT Feature Guide Feature Summary Channel Categories. When a saved song, artist, or sports team begins to play on SiriusXM, an alert is displayed and the content can be directly tuned, if desired. A combination of up to 50 artist, song, and game alerts may be saved. Artist and song alerts can be turned off or deleted, or an artist alert can be switched to a song alert and vice versa.
