Attached to the sun visor, HCB-108 enables in-car handsfree functionality. This User guide focuses on usage with a Sony Ericsson mobile phone. Charging To charge HCB-108 Before you use HCB-108 for the first time, you must charge it with the supplied charger for ten hours or until the red status light turns green. See picture 2. Pairing Before you can use HCB-108 with your phone, it has to be paired once with the phone. Follow the Bluetooth instructions in your phone User guide. Note: HCB-108 enters pairing mode the first time it is turned on or after a master reset. Transferring sound To transfer sound from the phone to HCB-108 During a call on the phone, press to transfer the sound to HCB-108. . Resetting There are two ways to reset HCB-108. A hardware reset or a master reset. You should perform a hardware reset if HCB-108 behaves unexpectedly and a master reset to reset the HCB-108 settings. To pair HCB-108 with the phone 1. Mobile phone: Turn on Bluetooth. 2. Mobile phone: Turn on Bluetooth visibility. This makes the phone visible to other Bluetooth devices. 3. Mobile phone: Place the phone within range
(10 metres, 33 feet) of HCB-108. 4. HCB-108: When HCB-108 is in pairing mode, the Bluetooth indicator light flashes blue and a sound is heard. If HCB-108 is not in pairing mode, you have to enter pairing mode manually by pressing and holding down two seconds. See picture 4. simultaneously for and 5. Mobile phone: Follow the instructions in your phone User guide on how to add a new Bluetooth device. The passcode for HCB-108 is 0000. 6. HCB-108: When phone is paired and connected, the Bluetooth indicator light shows a steady blue light and a sound is heard. Note: HCB-108 can only be paired with one phone at a time. If another phone is paired, the previous pairing information is lost. HCB-108 leaves pairing mode after 10 minutes if you do not pair it with the phone. In the car To install HCB-108 in the car Fasten HCB-108 to the sun visor. See picture 3. Turning on and off After you have paired HCB-108 with the phone, it automatically connects to the phone when it is on and within range (10 metres, 33 feet). The Bluetooth indicator light shows a steady blue light when HCB-108 is connected to the phone. To turn on Press and hold down A sound is heard and the status light shows a steady green light. for two seconds. To turn off Press and hold down A sound is heard and HCB-108 turns off. for two seconds. Calling When you have paired HCB-108 with your phone, you can make and receive calls as long as HCB-108 is turned on and within range of the phone, with no solid objects in between. To make a call Dial the number in the same way as you normally would with your phone. The call is automatically activated in HCB-108. To end a call Press

Repeat the procedure to turn on the microphone again. To do a hardware reset Press for 8-10 seconds. HCB-108 turns off. To do a master reset 1. Turn on HCB-108. 2. Press and hold down and simultaneously for two seconds. The Bluetooth indicator light flashes blue and a sound is heard. See picture 4. 3. Press and hold down and simultaneously for two seconds. A sound is heard, HCB-108 turns off and is reset to the factory default settings. 4. Pair HCB-108 with the phone again. Troubleshooting No connection to the phone Make sure HCB-108 is charged and within range
(10 metres, 33 feet) of the phone. Check or redo the Bluetooth settings in the phone. Repeat the pairing procedure. HCB-108 is automatically turned off Turn on HCB-108. HCB-108 switches off after 10 minutes if the paired phone is out of range. Charge the battery. The status light turns red and you hear a sound when charging is needed. Replacing the battery 1.
