The RFP is also able to carry out handover between the RF channels under the same RFP, and handles four wireless speech channels simultaneously. The RFP is able to frame synchronise with other RFPs under the same Central Control Fixed Part (CCFP). Transmission lenght is up to 1 km on a twisted pair
(in one building), e.g. cat.4, between the RFP and CCFP. The RFP is also power supplied from this connection (maximum supply 1.5 W). The radius of coverage is up to 300 meters with a handset in free sight. It is possible to connect a maximum of 8 RFPs to a CCFP without an expansion board, 16 RFPs with an expansion board and 32 with a link system. 2 Installation First you have to determine where to install the RFP to have the right coverage. The average coverage within buildings is 75 meters. The coverage depends on the construction of the building, archi-
tecture and choice of building material. You may have to use the RFP coverage determination kit
(deployment tool) to optimize your installation. This deployment tool (accessories), consists of an RFP which has no need for a CCFP. It can easily be moved around in the building and 1 to 8 handsets can be connected. Pull the a/b wire from your installation through the wall holder and then mount the wall holder on the wall. Connect the a/b wire to the plug on the backside of the RFP, using the 2 inner connectors of the plug. Base station 1405 7101 ed1 05/10/01 10:57 Side 4 Click the RFP on to the wall holder. After the CCFP is powered up again a cable lenght measurement is needed. NOTE!
Cable dimensions min. as AWG 26. If you need to remove the Base Station please sepa-
rate it from the wall holder with a gentle push of a screwdriver.
