Getting Started 1.Phone Parts and Function Key Description Description Light up when using power key to turn on the phone and when giving a charge of electricity to a storage battery Light up when there are incoming calls and message, and that finished a charge of electricity to a storage battery completely. Display the messages and indicator icons. Places and receives a call. Disconnect a call. Also exits all the way out of a menu back to the phones standby display without change any setting. Allows quick access to the text and voice mail notification messages. Close : Disconnects a call. Open : Answers a received call. Clears letters, numbers or returns to the previous menu option. Press once to erase one character. Press and hold to erase all characters and to go back to the standby display. Earpiece Volume Controls. Ringer Mute. Enter to the WAP Menu. Scroll up on Menu. LCD Icons ICONS Description Digital Indicator Digital service available. No SERVICE The phone is not receiving system signal. In use Call is in progress The phone is not display in standby state. Standard Telecom Co., Ltd NXC -3300 Document 4/24 2. Basic Functions 1. Turning the phone On and Off 1. 1 Turning the phone On 1.1.1. Install a charged battery pack or connect the phone to an external power sources. 1.1.2. Press the [END] key for a few seconds with the red light, at the top of the phone flash. The LCD displays the initial until the red light, at the top of the phone flash.. If the LCD displays , input the password using a soft keys. 1. 2 Turning the phone Off Press and hold the [END] key and release the button. 2. Making a Call 2. 1 Make sure the phone is turned on. 2. 2 Enter the phone number with area code, if needed. 2. 3 Press the [SEND] key.
- If the phone is locked, input the lock code and press the [SEND] key.
- Call failed indicates that the call did not go through. 2. 4 Press the [END] key to disconnect the call. 3. Correcting Dialing Mistakes. 3. 1 Press the [CLR] key to erase the most recent digit or letter. 3. 2 Press and hold the [CLR] key for the least 2 seconds to delete all digits or letters. 4. Receiving Calls. Press the all key except the [END] key, if the Any Key Answer is ON on the menu. Open the folder or press the [SEND] key in the ON state. When the call waiting has been enabled, you may put the active call On hold as you answer the other incoming call. Check with your cellular service provider about this feature. 5. 1 Press the [SEND] key to receive a waiting call. 5. 2 Press the [SEND] key again to switch between calls. 6. Mute This function prevents your voice from being transmitted but you can still hear the other partys talking. 6. 1 Press the [MENU] soft key and the [1] key for mute while you are in a call. 6. 2 Press the[MENU] soft key and the [1] key again for cancellation. 7. Reading Last Outgoing Number. Press the [SEND] key to redial the last dialed number. You can also redial any of the last ten numbers you have dialed. Last 10 numbers are stored in the call history list. 8. Adjusting the Volume. You may uses the side 1,2 keys to adjust earpiece volume while in a call or stand by state. The ringer volume can also be adjusted through Menu Feature, and we can select 4 of Tone/Volume on the menu 1. If you adjust the ringer volume to silent, the LCD displays -- Ringer Off and you wont hear the ringer sound. The key beep volume can also be adjusted through we select 3 of the menu 1. The stronger the signal, the better the call quality the signal strength icon indicates the current strength as a number of bars. If you are outside of a service area, the NO Service icon will be displayed. No calls can be made or received, including emergency calls. Extend the antenna when the signal strength is weak. If you are a building, the reception may be better near a window. 10. Emergency Dialing. As ling as your phone is registered on a system, you can place calls to emergency number even if your phone is locked or restricted. 11. Manner Mode. Press the star[*] key for 2 seconds, and the ring type is set to the vibration mode. If you want to change for previous condition, press the star[*] key again for 2 seconds. 12. Caller ID This feature enables the phone number of the calling person to be displayed when you receive the call. You should check if the cellular service provider provides this feature. In case the phone number is stored in the memory together with the name, the phone number of calling person and name are displayed on the screen before your answer. The restricted number message will be displayed, if the phone blocked displaying the calling persons phone number. In addition, the Unavailable Number message will be displayed in case the caller ID can not be used. The Missed Call message will be displayed when you fail to receive the call after power on or fail to answer. The missed call number will be stored at call history. General Guidelines to MENU Access and Settings. 2.1 If you press the Left soft key, you can enter the feature menu in the standby state. 2.2 You can use the UP/DOWN key for menu navigation. 2.3 Select the menu item that you want. Then the submenu list will appear you want to access. 2.4 Press the [CLR] key to go one step backward while accessing menu or selecting settings. 2.5 Press the [OK] soft key to save the setting values. 2.6 Press the [CLR] key to cancel without saving. 3. Menu Item Description 3.1 Menu 1 Tones/Vol 3.1.1. Ring Type Select the ring type one of four types
(Bell /Vibration /Bell & Vib /Lamp only) with the UP/DOWN key, and the [OK] soft key. 3.1.2. Ring Tone The ring tone is consist of the nineteen MIDI sounds and the one recorded bell. You can select using the UP/DOWN key. Types of ring sound to notify that you have an incoming call. There are Silent/Low/Medium -/Medium +/High levels, the levels bar is displayed the LCD It is sounded by the levels. 3.1.4. Ring Volume There are Silent/Low/Medium -/Medium +/High levels, the level bar is displayed on the LCD. When its off, the LCD display Ringer off in the standby mode. 3.1.5. Key Length The key beep sounds in response to digit key. 3.1.6. DTMF Length You can select Normal/Long in the menu items. 3.1.7. Alert Set 3.1.7.1. Call Fail The audible tone is sound, when the call is disconnected. 3.1.7.2. service Area Alert you when service(CDMA/Analog, A/B, etc) changes. 3.1.7.3. Minute Alert you every 10 seconds before the end of every minute during a call. 3.1.7.4. Call Drop The audible tone is sound, when the call is dropped. 3.1.7.5. PrivacyAlert (change of state) The audible tone is sound, when the voice privacy Lost 3.2 Menu 2 PIM 3.2.1. Scheduler You can view/add/delete a schedule, If select the date, its displayed a calendar on the LCD. View : you can view if select on the schedule list. Alarm Clock The phone can be set to alarm at a specified time. In this menu you can select Yes to hang the alarm time or No to turn off the alarm clock. When the alarm time is reached, the phone will sound an alarm tone. When the phone is alarming, Alarm is also shown. Every day alarm : Once you make a set, if ring at a set time. One-time alarm : If you select this, it ring only once. 3.2.3. Calculator This phone calculator in your phone, adds, subtracts, multiplies and divides. 3.2.4. Calendar This function allows you to view the calendar. UP Key : next year. Down Key : previous year. LEFT Key : previous month. RIGHT KEY : next month. 3.2.5. World Time You can view a date and a time base on the home time. 3.2.6. Add Entry The phone has 99 phonebook memories. You can store up to three phone numbers and one email address per name. 3.2.7. Booking Call This feature reminds you of the important call. When the time you set is reached, the phone will sound an alarm tone. 3.2.8. PIM option 3.2.8.1 Delete Prev.

: Disable all schedule alarm Standard Telecom Co., Ltd NXC -3300 Document 10/24 3.3 Menu 3 Display 3.3.1 Show time 3.3.1.1 Off : Not display a date and a tone. 3.3.1.2 Normal : Display a data and a time. 3.3.1.3 Time prefer : you can see a big time and a small date. 3.3.1.4 Data prefer : you can view a small time and a big date. 3.3.1.5 World time : Its display a local time, visit time and city. 3.3.2 Font style You can select a character type and a font size. 3.3.3 Backlight 3.3.3.1 .Always on : Always the backlight on 3.3.3.2 Always off : Always the backlight off. 3.3.3.3 ? Sec : Adjusting a time for backlight ON ( 5 to 60 seconds) 3.3.4 Greeting Enter banner(up to 14 characters) that is displayed on the top line when the phone powers up and when it is in standby. 3.3.5 Version No Its display a software/hardware version. 3.3.6 Language You can select one case out of the English(default)/Espanol /Portugues /Francais. 3.3.7 Contrast 3.3.7.1. . You can unlock when input the lock code. When locked, you can only make emergency calls, receive incoming call, one-touch dial or power down. But you cant auto-answer or use a speed dial when in a call. 3.4.2 Auto Answer You can answer a call automatically for the selected seconds (5,10,15) when in the incoming call. 3.4.3 Anykey Answer You can answer a call using a anykey except the [END] key. 3.4.4 Auto Redial Set the count of times(2,3,5) the phone wait before automatically redialing a number when the system is busy. 3.4.5 Auto hyphen Setting mode that input the - automatically according to the cipher for entering the number in the standby mode 3.5 Menu 5 Security 3.5.1 Change code Change a phone lock code. 3.5.2 Emergency No You can store the three emergency number. Its allows that you can originate a call by the stored number in case of the handset locking. You can adjust all, overseas or off. 3.5.3.2 Onetouch Dial : Restrict the one touch function. 3.5.3.3 Speed Dial : Restrict the speed dial function. 3.5.3.4. Phone Book : you can restrict a call origination by using of the contents in the phone books. 3.5.3.5 Call history : To view the call history, you have to input the lock code. 3.5.4 Clr Call 3.5.4.1 Incoming : Erase a incoming call list. 3.5.4.2 Outgoing : Erase a outgoing call list. 3.5.4.3. Phone Book : Erase a phone book list 3.5.5 Auto lock This function allows you can locks the phone when the phone is turned on. 3.5.6 Reset Phone : Reset the phone. 3.6 Menu 6 System 3.6.1 System Select It supports to select a Home only, a Automatic-A or a Automatic-B. 3.6.2 NAM Select Select the phones NAM (Number Assignment Module) if the phone is registered with the multiple service providers. 3.6.3 Auto NAM Allows the phone to automatically switch to one of the programmed NAMs if it is operating in the corresponding service provide area. Standard Telecom Co., Ltd NXC -3300 Document 13/24 3.6.4 Settings 3.6.4.1 Privacy Mode Set the voice privacy feature for CDMA calls as Enhanced or Standard Check with your service provider for availability of the enhanced voice privacy mode. 3.6.4.2 TTY Mode You can select to operate with Industry- standard TTY device. 3.6.4.3 Send PIN It send the PIN Code. 3.6.4.4 PIN Code Input the PIN Code 3.6.5 Force Analog The user can select "Use analog" or "No". If user selects "Use analog", the mobile phone works in analog mode for one call, otherwise anlaog mode is valid for ten minutes. 1. Press Menu softkey. 2. Press "6" and then press "5". 3. If mobile phone is connected to a PC with Data service Cable, the phone will work as wireless modem. In digital mode, the phone can be used for async data or Fax at up to speed 14.4Kbps, this phone also support network connection for faster internet access. 1. Press Menu softkey. 2. Menu Feature In use State 4.1 On Call 4.1.1 Time Information Call Timer : It starts with a call and stops with a call in terminated. 4.1.2 Ear piece volume Control Adjust the earpiece volume using the side 1.2 keys 4.2 The Menu in a call 4.2.1 Voice Mute You can on/off a phone in a call If you press the [Menu] softkey and the [1]key the other party can not hear you. If you need to release the status, after the urgent conversation is over, press the [MENU] softkey and the [1] key again. 4.2.2 Scratch pad You can use a softkey for saving the no sound, and exit by the right softkey. 5. 6 SMS Setting 5.6.1 Save OutBox When send a SMS Message, you can select which you save to the outbox list. 5.6.2 Expiration If the SMS message doesnt be transmitted during the setting time, it will be erased. 5.6.3 Call Back No 1. Incoming : Display a ten latest received messages. 3. Find Entry : Search a phone number by the saved address 4. Find Name : Search a phone number by the saved name. 5. Add Entry : Register a new name, address, email address and phone number into the phone book. 6.
