Bluetooth need definitions for each of these Overview MOIAJOAC) Touch Screen Display The SurtLink Mobile device incorporates a tull-color display with an innovative touch screen to control al! features of the device. Press and release the Touch Screen display Huttons to make selections via the Toucn Screen. The taskbar at the top of the display provides intormation about the SurtLink Mobile device battery status as well as Indication of the Bluetooth antenna On state. When the SurtLink Mobile Bluetooth antenna is On, will display on the lett end of the taskbar. When the Bluetooth antenna is Off, no symbol! will display. Status of the SurfLink Mobile rechargeable battery will be provided as Tollows:

<20% chargeo Charging f Button olume Up/Down Buttons ouch Screen Built-In Microphone Overview MOIAJOAC) Volume Down decrease the volume of sounds coming through the wireless hearing device, press and release the Volume Down button on the side of the device. Continue to oress and release until the desired volume is reacned. Micro USB Port The Micro USB port is used Tor recharging the SurtLink Mobile rechargeable battery as well as for streaming audio trom a wired input. recharge the SurfLink Mobile battery, connect the battery charging cable to the Micro USB port on the the charging cable to the wall charging adaptor. Plug tne wall charging adapter into a power outlet.

, press and hold On/Off button until the Touch Screen display DOWeTS On. When the SurtLink Mobile device is On, you can put the clevice into Sleep Mode by a short press and release On/Off button
. In Sleeo Mode, the device is still On, but the Touch Screen display is turned oft. Sleep Mode can be used to prevent accidental input to the Touch Screen display as well as a way to preserve SurtLink Mobile battery lite during use. SurtLink Mobile will automatically enter Sleeo Mode to conserve power when no Touch Screen input Is received tor several minutes. lo wake the screen, simply press ana release On/Off button Off
, press and hold On/Oft button until the Touch Screen displays the Powering Down message and the device turns off. Volume Up increase the volume of sounds coming through the wireless hearing device, press and release the Volume Up button on the side of the device. Continue to press and release until the desired volume is reached. Getting Started Set-up MOIAJOAC) Syncing Hearing Devices with SurtLink Mobile To use SurtLink Mobile with your wireless hearing devices, you must first sync the hearing devices with the device:
Navigate to the Settings screen using the navigation arrows at the bottom of the touch screen display. On the Settings scr een, select Hearing Devices SurfLink Mobile Microphone Ports SurtLink Mobile incorporates both a Directional microphone and Omnidirectional microphone for use in streaming audio as an assistive listening device. The Directional microphone is intended to tocus primarily on a single soeaker, whereas the Omnidirectional microphone can be used to pick up multiple speakers in a quiet environment. Selection of the microphones tor streaming is done trom the Streaming screen see page 18 tor more intormation. Lanyard and Clip Accessories surtLink Mobile comes with two optional accessories. ; When syncing is successful, you will see a success message on the SurtLink Mobile display and you will hear a sustained success tone presented through the hearing Instrument. our wireless hearing devices and SurtLink Mobile device will now work together as a wireless system. ass the Sync New button to put the SurtLink Mobile device into syncing mode. Follow the on-scr een instructions to open and close the battery door ot the hearing devices you wish to sync with SurtLink Mobile. The hearing devices will be detected by SurfLink Mobile and the serial numbers will be shown on the aisplay. Select the hearing device serial numbers and press the Sync button to complete the syncing process and the serial numbers will be shown on the display. You can present a tone in the hearing instruments to confirm that the correct devices were detected by selecting the Play Tone button. Press the Sync button to complete the syncing process. Getting Started Set-up payers Bulan dn-jas ass the button in the center of the screen. This button will remain active for the duration of the Bluetooth pairing process. m the Bluetooth pairing trom the mobile phone. It you are unsure of how to get your mobile to recognize Bluetooth devices, consult the manutacturer of your phone. Once the pairing pr ocess is complete, the Bluetooth Pairing Confirmation screen will display on the Pairing Mobile Phone with SurfLink Mobile Navigate to the Settings screen using the navigation arrows at the bottom of the touch screen display. On tne Settings scr een, select Bluetooth Ensur e that the Bluetooth mobile phone Is turnea On with Bluetooth enabled and is within 30 feet/10 To stream calls trom a mobile phone using SurtLink Mobile, you must first pair the mobile phone Operation payers Bulan dn-jas Operation
: Adjusting Your Hearing Devices To make hearing device adjustments via SurtLink Mobile, use the Remote screen:
The Remote screen is the default screen when you power on SurtLink Mobile. This screen is also accessible trom the Streaming and Phone Call screens to allow you to agjust your hearing devices while streaming audio. om the Remote screen, you can make the tollowing nearing device adjustments:
Left / Binaural / Right Control use these buttons to specity whether remote control adjustments will be made to a single hearing device or both nearing clevices at the same time. i vi]
Select a graphic icon to r epresent this device by pressing the button. The recommended graphic icon Is the Cell Phone graphic. Use the up/down arrows as needed to page through the list ot available graphic icons. Once the graphic icon has been selectea, Bluetooth Devices screen will appear and will show the newly paired mobile phone in the list of available paired Bluetooth devices. : Streaming Phone Cails An incoming call is received by the paired mobile phone:
When SurfLink Mobile is On and an incoming call is received by the pairea mobile phone, the incoming Call screen will appear on the SurtLink Mobile touch screen display. Accept the call via the SurtLink Mobile device by pressing the button. Note: The call can also be answered via the paired mobile phone as well. Decline the call, either press the button OR press any of the switches on the case of the The call can also be declined via the mobile phone itselt. Volume Up / Down make adjustments to overall volume of all sounds coming through the hearing clevices. Memory Change cycle through the various memories that are programmed into the nearing devices. temporarily turn off all sound coming through the hearing devices by pressing this button. Unmute the hearing device by pressing the Mute button again. When the hearing devices ar e muted, pressing any button on the Remote screen will also unmute the hearing devices and perform the function of the button selected. Favorite select to activate the Favorite that is programmed into the hearing devices. Ask your hearing protessional it your hearing device has a Eavorite. rome reset the hearing devices to Memory 1 at the power-on volume level. : Streaming Audio The SurtlLink Media device can be used to stream audio wirelessly trom:

Navigate to the Streaming screen A phone call is in progress:
When an outgoing call is made tr om the paired mobile phone or an incoming call is accepted, the Phone Call screen will display on the SurtLink Mobile Touch Screen display. By detault, the Hearing Device microphone be used to pick up your voice Tor transmission back to the person on the other end of the phone call. Optionally, the SurfLink Mobile Directional microphone can be used to pickup your voice. When using the Dir ectional microphone, the 12 inches of your mouth for optimal voice pick-up. The lanyard or clip accessories are designed to assist in this situation. Use tne side volume buttons to adjust the level of the mobile phone streamed audio signal. Operation uoijesado When you start a str eaming session using the Directional microphone button and you select Play, a prompt will appear to remind you to point the SurtLink Mobile microphone toward the sounas that you want to near. Select Stop
; The audio streaming trom the Streaming screen operates within a 3-4 meter range ot SurtLink Mobile Select the desir ed streaming input at the top of the screen using the arrow buttons. The Surflink Mobile Directional Microphone and Omnidirectional Microphone input buttons are always available tor selection. The Wired Streaming Input button will be available tor selection when a wired input is detected on the SurtLink Mobile micro USB port. The Bluetooth Streaming Input button antenna is On, at least one Bluetooth entertainment device has been paired with SurtLink Mobile and that entertainment device is On, within range of SurtLink Mobile and is playing audio. When multiple paired Bluetooth devices are available, the will page through the list of available paired Bluetooth devices. Select Play to begin streaming audio trom the selected input. To customize SurfLink Mobile settings, navigate to the Settings screen:

Once the graphic icon has been selected, the Bluetooth Devices will show the newly paired Bluetooth entertainment device in the of paired Bluetooth devices. Pairing SurfLink Mobile with a Bluetooth antertainment device:
Select Bluetooth from the Settings Ensur e that the Bluetooth device with which you want to pair the SurtLink Mobile is turned On and is within ass the Pairing Mode button center of the screen. This button will remain active for the duration of the Bluetooth pairing process. Contir mM pairing to SurtLink Mobile trom the Bluetooth device. Some Bluetooth devices require that you enter the PIN of the device being paired; the SurtLink Mobile Bluetooth PIN is COOO. Settings s6uj195 Settings
; Hearing Devices Select Hearing Devices from the Settings screen view the serial numbers of the synced wireless hearing Instruments. oO delete a syncea hearing device, press tne button. o sync SurtLink Mobile with new hearing devices and overwrite existing hearing device syncing, select the Sync New button to put the SurtLink Mobile device into syncing mode. Note: SurfLink Mobile can be paired with one right and one left hearing device at a time. Open ana close the battery door of the hearing instruments you wish to sync with SurtLink Mobile. Manage Paired Bluetooth Devices Select Bluetooth from the Settings screen Select the Devices button to view the list of pairea Bluetooth devices. 3. Select the device you want to manage. Select the Change List Order button to move the device in the list using the up/down arrows. Select the a ditterent graphic tor the selected device. Once the label has been selected, the graphic will appear next to the device name in the list of paired devices. Select the button to the device pairing ana remove the device trom the list. Settings s6uj195 The hearing devices will be detected by SurtLink Mobile. Select the nearing device serial numbers and press the Sync button to complete the syncing DFOCESss. The wir eless hearing devices and SurtLink Mobile device will now work together as a wireless system. Settings:
Tools Select Brightness from the Settings screen to adjust the touch screen display brightness. Select the buttons to aajust the display brightness. Select to accept Touch Screen aisplay brightness adjustments. Select Cancel to reject adjustments and continue with previous brightness settings. Language Select Language from the Settings screen Choose the desir ed language version trom the list of 14 available language translations. Select OK to accept the new language selection. Select Cancel to reject the change and continue with the previous language selection. Brightness Settings s6uj195 Screens Screen Defaults Select either the Remote or Streaming as the detault screen when the Surtlink Mobile device is powered On. The selected detault scr een will show as active/
highlighted in blue. SurtLink Mobile comes with the Remote screen set as the default screen. For Englisn language version only:
Select button labels to be Off detaulted On. Select either to have the Streaming screen included in the screen navigation or Not. to have the hearing aid microphone as an available option tor Voice Pickup on the Phone Call screen. SurtlLink Mobile comes set with Show as the default.
- It is recommended to Hide the Hearing Aid Microphone option when syncing SurtLink Mobile with a nearing device that uses a 10A battery. or OF Show/Hide Streaming Voice Pickup Options Hide Hide s6uj195 Choose Advanced, Intermediate or Basic functions for the Remote screen by selecting the appropriate button.
