Remote Control Wall Socket Model: WRC-102T The Remote Control Wall Socket consists of two separate units: -
1. Remote Control Unit (Transmitter) 2. Wall Socket Unit (Receiver) These units are completely self-contained and no wiring between them is necessary. Fitting Instructions It is important to install this product in accordance with the fitting instructions below. Failure to do so may render your guarantee void. IMPORTANT: PLEASE RETAIN THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE WHEN REPLACING BATTERIES 1) Before commencing work, you will require a drill and cross-headed screwdriver. 2) 1 x 3.0v batteries (CR-2032 included) 3) Avoid positioning on UPVC or Metal Frames. 4) Avoid positioning above heat sources such as radiators or in damp areas such as a kitchen or bathroom. Fixing screws and wall plugs are supplied with this kit. Pressing the Remote Control sends a wireless signal which activates the Wall Socket. The operating range is 30-50m (99-165ft, indoor) and you can use the Wall Socket virtually anywhere in the home. However, the transmission range will be reduced if the signal is transmitted through a number of walls or ceilings and Metal partition can also reduce the operating range. IMPORTANT: Before you drill any holes in the wall, please make sure there are not any cables or pipes that you may accidentally damage. Remote Control unit - Battery Installation Remote Control uses 1 x 3volt CR2032 Lithium battery (included), to activate remove the isolation strip. To replace slide open the compartment at the back and replace ensuring correct battery polarity. Wall Socket unit Wall Socket unit is powered by A/C mains power (100-110volt ~ 60Hz). Plug the Wall Socket unit into any convenient wall socket. The Wall Socket is now ready to learn the operation code (Please see Digital Code Set Up). Installation Guide To install you will require a drill and cross-headed screwdriver. Remote Control Unit Hang using the two holes at the back of Remote Control. Mounting on any metal surfaces will reduce the broadcasting range. Wall Socket Unit Plug the Wall Socket unit into any convenient wall socket. Avoid positioning above heat sources (e.g. radiator) or in damp areas such as a kitchen or bathroom. Connect the lights, TVs or small electrical appliance with the Wall Socket Unit, with wattage not more than 1,100watt or 10amp. Important: Test the Wall Socket to ensure unit is within operating range. Digital Code Set Up The Remote Wall Socket kit is equipped with advanced random and self-learning operation code ability. 1. First time operation (1st bell push):
After battery installation on Remote Control and Wall Socket unit is powered, Red LED on the Wall Socket lights up, press the Remote Control unit once, The Red LED will blink to indicate that a new operation code is registered and memorized. 2. 2nd Remote Control: Then press and hold the Code Setting button (on the side of Wall Socket unit) for about 1 second, the RED LED on Wall Socket unit will light up to indicate that it is ready for the new code registration. Press the 2nd Remote Control once (within 10 seconds) to generate a new operation code randomly and send a wireless signal to the Wall Socket unit, Red LED will blink to indicate that a second operation code is also registered and memorized. 3. Repeat the same procedure (pt. 2) for 3rd and 4th Remote Controls. 4. Erase the Memorized Operating Code: Unplug the Wall Socket, press and hold the Code Setting Button for 5 seconds when re-power the Wall Socket, the Red LED will flash to indicate that it is ready to learn the new set of operating code. IMPORTANT: Erase the Wall Socket operating code and repeat the code setting procedure after the Remote Control CR2032 battery has been replaced. NOTE: If the Wall Socket operated for no reason, it is indicated that it has been interfered by other similar Wall Socket unit nearby, reset the digital code by remove the power supply from both units and erase the digital code as stated on point (4) then repeat the digital code setup procedure. Wall Socket Operation Press the button on the Remote Control unit once, it sends a wireless signal to the Wall Socket and Red LED will blink once, it turn on the front socket power and turn on whatever is connected onto it. Manual On/Off Switch It is located on the front of the unit and press to On/Off the unit manually. Important 1. Remote Wall Socket unit is designed for indoor use only. 2. Do not mount the Remote Control onto any metal surface, as this will reduce the operation range. 3. Do not expose either unit directly to rain or immerse in water. 4. Do not mount either unit close to fireplace or expose to high temperature. 5. Dispose of old batteries in accordance with the relevant legislation. 6. There are no user serviceable parts in the unit; do not attempt to repair it. 7. Always disconnect the unit from power supply before maintaining equipment. 8. Do not use this unit with power tools, rotating machinery or appliances use outdoors (e.g. lawnmowers). 9. CAUTION: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly installed or replaced. 10. IMPORTANT: There are no serviceable parts in the units, do not attempt to repair it. 11. NOTE: Extreme (Hot & Cold) temperature may shorten the operating range; re-locate the chime unit if necessary. 12. Note: The product function may reset itself when it is subjected to electrostatic discharges. Just follow the instruction described in this manual to set the function again for normal operation. User Hints If the Wall Socket unit does not work, please check the following:
a) Flat batteries in Remote Control or Wall Socket Unit is not powered change the batteries and power the Light Socket. b) Wrong battery polarity in Remote Control reinsert the batteries. c) Both Remote Control and Wall Socket units are not on the same operation codes reset the code (see digital code set up). d) Erase the Wall Socket operating code and repeat the code setting procedure after the Remote Control CR2032 battery has been replaced. e) Units are out of range Operate the Wall Socket unit within the operation range.
