Radio waves ................................
THIS PHONE MEETS THE GOVERNMENT’S REQUIREMENTS
FOR EXPOSURE TO RADIO WAVES.
Your phone is a radio transmitter and receiver. It is designed and
manufactured not to exceed the emission limits for exposure to
radio-frequency (RF) energy. These limits are part of comprehensive
guidelines and establish permitted levels of RF energy for the
general population. The guidelines are based on standards that were
developed by independent scientific organizations through periodic
and thorough evaluation of scientific studies. These guidelines
include a substantial safety margin designed to ensure the safety of
all persons, regardless of age and health.
The exposure standard for phones employs a unit of measurement
known as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit
set by public authorities such as the Federal Communications
Commission of the US Government (FCC), or by Innovation,
Science and Economic Development Canada (ISEDC), is 1.6 W/kg
averaged over 1 gram of body tissue. Tests for SAR are conducted
using standard operating positions with the phone transmitting at its
highest certified power level in all tested frequency bands.
This device is complied with SAR for general population /uncontrolled
exposure limits in ANSI/IEEE C95.1-1992 and had been tested
in accordance with the measurement methods and procedures
specified in IEEE1528.
The FCC has granted an Equipment Authorization for this model
phone with all reported SAR levels evaluated as in compliance with
the FCC RF exposure guidelines. SAR information on this model
phone is on file with the FCC and can be found under the Display
Grant section of www.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid after searching on FCC
ID: 2ACCJN051.
93
Although the SAR is determined at the highest certified power level,
the actual SAR level of the phone while operating can be well below
the maximum value. This is because the phone is designed to
operate at multiple power levels so as to use only the power required
to reach the network. In general, the closer you are to a wireless
base station antenna, the lower the power output of the phone.
Before a phone model is available for sale to the public, compliance
with national regulations and standards must be shown.
The highest SAR value for T782P when tested is 0.92 W/Kg for use
at the ear and 1.07 W/Kg for use close to the body
While there may be differences between the SAR levels of various
phones and at various positions, they all meet the government
requirement for RF exposure.
For body-worn operation, the phone meets FCC RF exposure
guidelines provided that it is used with a non-metallic accessory with
the handset at least 15 mm from the body.
Use of other accessories may not ensure compliance with FCC RF
exposure guidelines.
Additional information on SAR can be found on the Cellular
Telecommunications & Internet Association (CTIA) Web site: http://
www.ctia.org/
The World Health Organization (WHO) considers that present
scientific information does not indicate the need for any special
precautions for use of phones. If individuals are concerned, they
may choose to limit their own or their children’s RF exposure by
limiting the length of calls, or using “hands-free” devices to keep
phones away from the head and body. Additional WHO information
about electromagnetic fields and public health are available on the
following website: http://www.who.int/peh-emf.

• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver;
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from
that to which the receiver is connected;
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/ TV technician for help.
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party
responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate
the equipment.
For the receiver devices associated with the operation of a licensed
radio service (e.g. FM broadcast), they bear the following statement:
This phone complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
• This device may not cause harmful interference;
• This device must accept any interference received, including
interference that may cause undesired operation.
Your phone is equipped with a built-in antenna. For optimal
operation, you should avoid touching it or degrading it.

Requirements for Hearing Aid Compatibility
with Wireless Devices
When wireless devices are used near hearing devices (such as
hearing aids and cochlear implants), users may detect a buzzing,
humming, or whining noise. Some hearing devices are more immune
than others to this interference, and wireless devices also vary in the
amount of interference that they generate.
The wireless telephone industry has developed ratings to assist
hearing device users in finding wireless devices that may be
compatible with their hearing devices. Not all wireless devices have
been rated. Wireless devices that are rated will have the rating
displayed on the box together with other relevant approval markings.
The ratings are not guarantees. Results will vary depending on
the user’s hearing device and hearing loss. If your hearing device
is vulnerable to interference, you may not be able to use a rated
wireless device successfully. Consulting with your hearing health
professional and testing the wireless device with your hearing device
is the best way to evaluate it for your personal needs.
98
This smartphone has been tested and rated for use with hearing
aids for some of the wireless technologies that the smartphone
uses. However, other wireless technologies may be used in this
smartphone that have not been tested for use with hearing aids.
It is important to try the different features of your smartphone
thoroughly and in different locations to determine if you hear any
interfering noise when using this smartphone with your hearing aid
or cochlear implant. Consult your wireless service provider about its
return and exchange policies, and for information about hearing aid
compatibility.
Hearing aid compatibility rating for this smartphone: M4/T4.
How the ratings work
M-Ratings: Wireless devices rated M3 or M4 meet FCC requirements
and are likely to generate less interference to hearing devices than
wireless devices that are not labeled. M4 is the better or higher of
the two ratings.
T-Ratings: Wireless devices rated T3 or T4 meet FCC requirements
and are likely to be more usable with a hearing device’s telecoil (“T
Switch” or “Telephone Switch”) than unrated wireless devices. T4
is the better or higher of the two ratings. (Note that not all hearing
devices have telecoils in them.)
Hearing devices may also be measured for immunity to this type of
interference. Your hearing device manufacturer or hearing health
professional may help you find results for your hearing device.
The more immune your hearing aid is, the less likely you are to
experience interference noise from wireless devices.

THIS PHONE MEETS THE GOVERNMENT’S REQUIREMENTS
FOR EXPOSURE TO RADIO WAVES.
Your phone is a radio transmitter and receiver. It is designed
and manufactured not to exceed the emission limits for
exposure to radio-frequency (RF) energy. These limits are part
of comprehensive guidelines and establish permitted levels of
RF energy for the general population. The guidelines are based
on standards that were developed by independent scientific
organizations through periodic and thorough evaluation of
scientific studies. These guidelines include a substantial safety
margin designed to ensure the safety of all persons, regardless
of age and health.
The exposure standard
for phones employs a unit of
measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR.
The SAR limit set by public authorities such as the Federal
Communications Commission of the US Government (FCC),
or by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada
(ISEDC), is 1.6 W/kg averaged over 1 gram of body tissue. Tests
for SAR are conducted using standard operating positions with
the phone transmitting at its highest certified power level in all
tested frequency bands.
This device is complied with SAR for general population /
uncontrolled exposure limits in ANSI/IEEE C95.1-1992 and had
been tested in accordance with the measurement methods and
procedures specified in IEEE1528.
The FCC has granted an Equipment Authorization for this model
phone with all reported SAR levels evaluated as in compliance
with the FCC RF exposure guidelines. SAR information on this
model phone is on file with the FCC and can be found under
the Display Grant section of www.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid after
searching on FCC ID: 2ACCJN051.
4
ENAlthough the SAR is determined at the highest certified power
level, the actual SAR level of the phone while operating can be
well below the maximum value. This is because the phone is
designed to operate at multiple power levels so as to use only
the power required to reach the network. In general, the closer
you are to a wireless base station antenna, the lower the power
output of the phone. Before a phone model is available for sale
to the public, compliance with national regulations and standards
must be shown.
The highest SAR value for T782P when tested is 0.92 W/Kg for
use at the ear and 1.07 W/Kg for use close to the body.
While there may be differences between the SAR levels of
various phones and at various positions, they all meet the
government requirement for RF exposure.
For body-worn operation, the phone meets FCC RF exposure
guidelines provided that it is used with a non-metallic accessory
with the handset at least 15 mm from the body.
Use of other accessories may not ensure compliance with FCC
RF exposure guidelines.
Additional information on SAR can be found on the Cellular
Telecommunications & Internet Association (CTIA) Web site:
http://www.ctia.org/
The World Health Organization (WHO) considers that present
scientific information does not indicate the need for any special
precautions for use of phones. If individuals are concerned, they
may choose to limit their own or their children’s RF exposure
by limiting the length of calls, or using “hands-free” devices to
keep phones away from the head and body. Additional WHO
information about electromagnetic fields and public health are
available on the following website: http://www.who.int/peh-emf.

• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver;
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from
interference
that to which the receiver is connected;
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/ TV technician
for help.

Information Concerning
Federal Communications Commission
(“FCC”) Requirements for Hearing Aid
Compatibility with Wireless Devices
When wireless devices are used near hearing devices (such
as hearing aids and cochlear implants), users may detect a
buzzing, humming, or whining noise. Some hearing devices
are more immune than others to this interference, and wireless
devices also vary in the amount of interference that they
generate.
The wireless telephone industry has developed ratings to assist
hearing device users in finding wireless devices that may be
compatible with their hearing devices. Not all wireless devices
have been rated. Wireless devices that are rated will have the
rating displayed on the box together with other relevant approval
markings.
(1) May not be available in all countries.
7
ENThe ratings are not guarantees. Results will vary depending
on the user’s hearing device and hearing loss. If your hearing
device is vulnerable to interference, you may not be able to
use a rated wireless device successfully. Consulting with your
hearing health professional and testing the wireless device
with your hearing device is the best way to evaluate it for your
personal needs.
This smartphone has been tested and rated for use with hearing
aids for some of the wireless technologies that the smartphone
uses. However, other wireless technologies may be used in this
smartphone that have not been tested for use with hearing aids.
It is important to try the different features of your smartphone
thoroughly and in different locations to determine if you hear any
interfering noise when using this smartphone with your hearing
aid or cochlear implant. Consult your wireless service provider
about its return and exchange policies, and for information about
hearing aid compatibility.
Hearing aid compatibility rating for this smartphone: M4/T4.
How the ratings work
M-Ratings: Wireless devices rated M3 or M4 meet FCC
requirements and are likely to generate less interference to
hearing devices than wireless devices that are not labeled. M4
is the better or higher of the two ratings.
T-Ratings: Wireless devices rated T3 or T4 meet FCC
requirements and are likely to be more usable with a hearing
device’s telecoil (“T Switch” or “Telephone Switch”) than unrated
wireless devices. T4 is the better or higher of the two ratings.
(Note that not all hearing devices have telecoils in them.)
Hearing devices may also be measured for immunity to this type
of interference. Your hearing device manufacturer or hearing
health professional may help you find results for your hearing
device. The more immune your hearing aid is, the less likely
you are to experience interference noise from wireless devices.

with regard to hearing aid compatibility with wireless devices and
other steps that the FCC has taken to ensure that individuals
with disabilities have access to telecommunications services,

The information within this section of the Operational Description is to show compliance against the Software Security Requirements laid out within T782P Security. The information below describes how we maintain the overall security measures and systems so that only:
1. Authenticated software is loaded and operating on the device 2. The device is not easily modified to operate with RF parameters outside of the authorization General Description 1. Describe how any software/firmware updates for elements than can affect the devices RF parameters will be obtained, downloaded, validated and installed. For software that is accessed through manufacturers website or devices management system, describe the different levels of security as appropriate. 2. Describe the RF parameters that are modified by any software/firmware without any hardware changes. Are these parameters in some way limited such that any other software/firmware changes will not allow the device to exceed the authorized RF characteristics?
3. Describe in detail the authentication protocols that are in place to ensure that the source of the RF-related software/firmware is valid. Describe in detail how the RF-related software is protected against modification. methods used to support the use of legitimate RF-related software/firmware. 5. For a device that can be configured as a master and client (with active or passive scanning), explain how the device ensures compliance for each mode? In particular if the device acts as master in some band of operation and client in another; how is compliance ensured in each band of operation?
The software/firmware update is bundled, as part of System updates process, the user or installer cannot modify the contents. The update and installation proceed automatically once the user accepts or launches System updates process. Radio parameters are fixed at time of production as required by the FCC certification. Any future software/firmware release for System updates is verified by the TCL before release. If required, TCL will follow FCC permissive change procedure.
