melder mit vier Fangleinen Spy Walkie-Talkies Stay in constant contact with your fellow secret agent while you shadow suspects and stake out crime scenes using your Spy Walkie-Talkies. The walkie-talkies can work over a distance of up to 3 kilometers (~1.5 miles), so one of you can be out in the field while the other remains at headquarters. With three different radio channels, you can avoid interference signals, and the flashlight function doubles as a handy investigation tool. Quick Start Guide:
1. An adult must install the batteries. (See section 2.) 2. Turn on both walkie-talkies using the power button and tune them to the same channel using the button in the center. Youre all set up! Now, give one to your fellow agent. 3. To speak, press and hold the button with the telephone icon. 4. Press the button with the musical note to make the other walkie-talkie ring and get your partners attention. 5. Press and hold the button with the light-bulb icon for the flashlight function. WARNING! Not suitable for children under 3 years. Choking hazard small parts may be swallowed or inhaled. IMPORTANT! Protect the devices from moisture. Clean them with a damp cloth and allow them to dry thoroughly before using them again. Do not leave the devices in direct sunlight or expose them to other sources of heat. Keep the packaging and instructions as they contain important information. 1) Using your Spy Walkie-Talkies:
Have an adult remove the walkie-talkies from the package and install new batteries in both devices. (Section 2, images 1 and 2 further explain how.) Turn your walkie-talkies on by pressing the On/Off button (upper-left). The display will show a number 1. Press and hold the Channel button (center) for one second to change the channel. The number 1 will change to a number 2 on the display. Repeat this step to go to channel 3 and then back to channel 1, and so on. Changing the channel helps you to avoid possible interference (from radio stations, for example). Both walkie-talkies must be turned on and be on the same channel in order for you to talk to each other through them. Press and hold the Talk button (lower-right) while speaking. As you hold down the button, the number will flash on the display, indicating that your fellow agent can hear you. Release the button when you are done speaking so the other person can respond. If you are both pressing the Talk button at the same time, neither person will hear the other. (Thats why people say Over into their walkie-talkies in movies and on TV. It lets the other person know it is their turn to talk.) Your walkie-talkies can communicate over a distance of up to 3 km (~1.5 mi) unobstructed. IMPORTANT: Because other people may be able to eavesdrop on the frequency youre transmitting on, it is important not to share anything too private over the walkie-talkie (like your address). If you hear someone else, change the channel immediately. If you press the Ringer button (top-right), your partners walkie-talkie will ring, followed by your own. This way, you can signal to the other person that you have something important to say, or you can find their location without communicating verbally. If youre investigating in the dark, the Flashlight button (lower-left) comes in handy. Press and hold the button with the light bulb and the LED on top of the walkie-talkie lights up. You can use this to reveal your location to your partner in the dark or communicate via Morse code signals. Tip! Use the clip on the back of your walkie-talkie to attach it to your belt, bag, or pocket. This way, you always have it handy when your partner calls. 2) Installing and Replacing the Batteries:
IMPORTANT! An adult should insert and change the batteries. First, detach the belt clip on the back of the device by opening the clamping mechanism with your fingers and pushing the clip upwards so that it slides out of the holder (see image 2). This reveals the battery compartment underneath. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, loosen the screw on the walkie-talkies battery compart-
ment and lift off the cover. The screw will remain in the cover. Remove the old batteries (if applicable) and insert three new AAA batteries (1.5-volt, type LR03). Pay close attention to the correct polarity (see image 1). Close the battery compartment and screw the cover back on. Repeat these steps for the other walkie-talkie. An adult should insert and change the batteries. To operate the walkie-talkies, you will need six (6) AAA batteries
(1.5-volt, type LR03), which could not be included in the kit due to their limited shelf life. Avoid a short circuit of the batteries. A short circuit can cause the wires to overheat and the batteries to explode. Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable
(nickel-cadmium) batteries. Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity (+ and ). Press them gently into the battery compartment. See above. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. They could explode!
Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision. Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged. Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy. The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited. Dispose of used batteries in accordance with environmental provisions, not in the household trash. Avoid deforming the batteries. NOTES ON DISPOSAL OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS The electronic components of this product are recyclable. For the sake of the environment, do not throw them into the household trash at the end of their lifespan.
