Unpacking And Set Up 3 Preparation for Use Rear View IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS 1.) Read these instructions. Keep these instructions. Follow all instructions. Heed all warnings. 2.) Do not use this apparatus near water. 3.) Clean only with dry cloth. 4.) Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. 5.) Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat. 6.) Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. Unwind the Line cord and extend it to its full length. Protect Your Furniture This model is equipped with non-skid rubber 'feet' to prevent the product from moving when you operate the controls. These 'feet' are made from non-migrating rubber material specially formulated to avoid leaving any marks or stains on your furniture. However certain types of oil based furniture polishes, wood preservatives, or cleaning sprays may cause the rubber 'feet' to dissolve and leave marks or a rubber residue on the furniture. To prevent any damage to your furniture we strongly recommend that you purchase small self-adhesive felt pads, available at hardware stores and home improvement centers everywhere, and apply these pads to the bottom of the rubber 'feet' before you place the product on fine wooden furniture. 1.) SNOOZE1 on 9 minutes for AL1. Press & hold for dimmable on clock display (5). 12.) MIN - Time setting for minutes. 13.) LED soft switch (ON/OFF) for bright LED display (3). Press & hold for dimmable on bright LED display (3). 14.) LAMP2 soft switch (ON/OFF) for ALARM2 on outlet (18). 15.) LAMP (FLASH/STEADY) slide switch for both outlets (18 & 21). 16.) AL2 soft switch settings (ON/OFF/SET) for ALARM2. 17.) SNOOZE2 on 9 minutes for AL2. Press & hold for dimmable on clock display (5). 18.) Outlet 100 Watts max for ALARM2. 19.) Power electrical cord to 120 AC, 60 Hz wall outlet. 20.) Ventilation grill openings. 21.) Outlet 100 Watts max for ALARM1. 22.) 9V battery compartment. 23.) Extender arm bracket. Slide it out if the wall power adapter (25) caused the alarm clock to be tilted up. See the inset image. 24.) USB Ports (1 Amp & 2 Amp). 25.) Wall power adapter for bed vibrator (not included). 5 Get Started 1.) Insert a 9V battery (Alkaline-type) inside of battery compartment (22). 2.) Optional: Plug either wall power adapter (25) or lamp (with switched ON) to either outlets (18 or 21 or both if dual timer is used). 3.) Unwind the Line cord (19) and extend it to its full length. 4.) Plug the Line Cord (19) to the nearest available power wall outlet of 120 AC, 60 Hz. 5.) Wait for about 10 seconds to allow this alarm clock to bring up to life. 6.) Verify that the LED clock display.(5) is appeared. 7.) Perform a quick test by depress on the LED ON/OFF soft switch (13) twice to verify LED flasher (3) is illuminated and then unlit. 8.) Optional: Perform a quick test by depress on the LAMP1 soft switch (8) twice to verify lamp output (21) is illuminated and then unlit. The same goes for LAMP2 soft switch (14) for lamp output (18). 9.) After all of the above steps are passed, then this alarm clock is ready for use. 6 Quick reference locations 7 Set the current time:
Setting The Time 1.) Depress & hold TIME (7). 2.) Depress again few times on HOUR (6) to current hour time. 3.) Verify desired PM (1) Indicator. ('On'=PM; 'Off' = AM). 4.) Depress again few times on MIN (12) to current minutes time. 5.) Release TIME (7). 8 Setting The Alarm1 Set the alarm (ALARM1):
1.) Depress & hold AL1 soft switch (10) settings (ON/OFF/SET) for ALARM1. 2.) Depress again few times on HOUR (6) to desired hour time. 3.) Verify desired PM (1) Indicator. ('On'=PM; 'Off' = AM). 4.) Depress again few times on MIN (12) to desired minutes time. 5.) Release AL1 soft switch (10). 6.) Then, depress & hold AL1 soft switch (10) for about 3 seconds. 7.) Verify AL1 (2) Indicator is set to ON for ALARM1. 8.) Depress TIME (7) to display the current time. 9.) If AL1 LAMP outlet (21) will be used, then do the following steps:
a.) Perform a quick test by depress on the LAMP1 soft switch (8) twice to verify lamp output (21) is illuminated and then unlit. b.) Select LAMP (FLASH/STEADY) slide switch (15) for outlet (21). 10.) Select ALARM LED ON/OFF slide switch (9) for top LED display (3). 11.) If ALARM LED ON/OFF slide switch (9) is selected to ON, then do the following steps:
a.) Perform a quick test by depress on the LED ON/OFF soft switch
(13) twice to verify LED flasher (3) is illuminated and then unlit. b.) If LED flasher (3) is too bright, then depress on the LED ON/OFF soft switch (13) & hold for about 3 seconds until desired illumination level. Release LED ON/OFF soft switch. Depress again on the LED ON/OFF soft switch to unlit. 12.) If LED clock display (5) is too bright, then depress & hold SNOOZE1
(11) until desired illumination level. Release SNOOZE1. When the alarm (ALARM1) goes off:
1.) There are three options (A, B, and C):to choose from :
A.) Turn off alarm until next day:
a.) Verify AL1 (2) Indicator for ALARM1 is slow blinking. b.) Depress & hold AL1 soft switch (10) settings (ON/OFF/SET) for about 5 seconds. c.) Verify AL1 (2) Indicator for ALARM1 is steady lit (On). d.) Release AL1 soft switch (10). d.) The ALARM1 is now off and then will automatically goes off again until the next day. B.) Extended time:
a.) Depress SNOOZE1 (11). b.) Verify AL1 (2) Indicator for ALARM1 is fast blinking. c.) The ALARM1 is now in a snooze mode and then will automatically goes off again in 9 minutes later. C.) Completely turn off the alarm:
a.) Depress & hold AL1 soft switch (10) settings (ON/OFF/SET) for about 8 seconds. Then, release AL1. 9 Setting The Alarm2 Set the alarm (ALARM2):
1.) Depress & hold AL2 soft switch (16) settings (ON/OFF/SET) for ALARM2. 2.) Depress again few times on HOUR (6) to desired hour time. 3.) Verify desired PM (1) Indicator. ('On'=PM; 'Off' = AM). 4.) Depress again few times on MIN (12) to desired minutes time. 5.) Release AL2 soft switch (16). 6.) Then, depress & hold AL2 soft switch (16) for about 3 seconds. 7.) Verify AL2 (4) Indicator is set to ON for ALARM2. 8.) Depress TIME (7) to display the current time. 9.) If AL2 LAMP outlet (18) will be used, then do the following steps:
a.) Perform a quick test by depress on the LAMP2 soft switch (14) twice to verify lamp output (18) is illuminated and then unlit. b.) Select LAMP (FLASH/STEADY) slide switch (15) for outlet (18). 10.) Select ALARM LED ON/OFF slide switch (9) for top LED display (3). 11.) If ALARM LED ON/OFF slide switch (9) is selected to ON, then do the following steps:
a.) Perform a quick test by depress on the LED ON/OFF soft switch
(13) twice to verify LED flasher (3) is illuminated and then unlit. b.) If LED flasher (3) is too bright, then depress on the LED ON/OFF soft switch (13) & hold for about 3 seconds until desired illumination level. Release LED ON/OFF soft switch. Depress again on the LED ON/OFF soft switch to unlit. 12.) If LED clock display (5) is too bright, then depress & hold SNOOZE2
(17) until desired illumination level. Release SNOOZE2. When the alarm (ALARM2) goes off:
1.) Three choices (A, B, and C):
A.) Turn off alarm until next day:
a.) Verify AL2 (4) Indicator for ALARM2 is slow blinking. b.) Depress & hold AL2 soft switch (16) settings (ON/OFF/SET) for about 5 seconds. c.) Verify AL2 (4) Indicator for ALARM2 is steady lit (On). d.) Release AL2 soft switch (16). d.) The ALARM2 is now off and then will automatically goes off again until the next day. B.) Extended time:
a.) Depress SNOOZE2 (17). b.) Verify AL2 (4) Indicator for ALARM2 is fast blinking. c.) The ALARM2 is now in a snooze mode and then will automatically goes off again in 9 minutes later. C.) Completely turn off the alarm:
a.) Depress & hold AL2 soft switch (16) settings (ON/OFF/SET) for about 8 seconds. Then, release AL2. 11 Dimmer Controls There are two types of dimmer controls:
1.) Top LED display (3):
Depress on the LED ON/OFF soft switch (13) & hold for about 3 seconds until desired illumination level. Release LED ON/OFF soft switch. Depress again on the LED ON/OFF soft switch to unlit. 2.) LED clock display (5):
Depress & hold either SNOOZE1 (11) or SNOOZE2 (17) until desired illumination level. Release either SNOOZE1 or SNOOZE2, accordingly. 12 USB Charging Dual outputs 5V@1A/2A are available for charging smartphones 11 Changing The Battery PRECAUTIONS ABOUT BATTERY 1.) This alarm clock uses one 9 volts size battery (Alkaline-type). NOT INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE. 2.) Use a well known brand name of Alkaline battery for longer life and best performance. 2.) Use same type, brand, and fresh battery. 4.) Do not use old or used battery. 5.) Do not recharge, heat, short circuit, disassemble, or burn on the battery. 6.) A fresh Alkaline battery should operate this alarm clock for about 1 to 2 Years or more of normal use. 7.) Incorrect inserting battery polarity can cause battery leakage and corrosion that will damage this alarm clock. 8.) Do not dispose of the old battery in a fire. 9.) Battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like. 13 LIMITED WARRANTY DEAFWORKS warrants this product to be free from manufacturing defects in original material, including original parts, and workmanship under normal home use and conditions (manufacturing defect) for a period of ninety (90) days from date of original purchase. Should service be necessary under this warranty, DEAFWORKS will provide the following at our Customer Care Service provided if the manufacturing defect is verified along with the date of purchase:
Repair service for ninety (90) days from date of original purchase at no charge for labor and parts. Pack the unit in a well-padded heavy corrugated box. Please insure the item is well padded to avoid damage while in transit back to our Customer Care Service. If the item incurs damage, it will NOT be replaced and the consumer will be responsible for return freight costs to receive their same unit back. Enclose your check or money order payable to DEAFWORKS in the amount of $15 to cover return shipping and handling costs. Enclose a note with your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, Return Authorization number and brief reason for returning the unit. Enclose a copy of your proof of purchase (warranty service will not be provided without dated proof of purchase). Please note that the ALARM LED ON/OFF slide switch (9) and LAMP
