Safety Instructions for Fluorescent Worklights Never operate the lamp with missing glass safety shield. This lamp is not intended for use nor safe to use in potentially dangerous lamp to cool. Also unplug lamp from power source. Always close face of lamp securely before turning power back on. When replacing the bulb in this lamp always turn off and give ample time for locations such as places with explosive or flammable atmospheres. H S I L G N E L O N A P S E 6 Do not handle this lamp when standing on wet or damp surfaces or in water. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this light should always be plugged into properly grounded outlet. Do not remove the ground wire or grounded plug from the lamp. Always use a grounded cord with electrical capacity to properly handle this light and other tools you might be using. Never use light around swimming pool, hot tubs or saunas. Never use around heavy volatile fluids such as gasoline. This product may cause interference with radios, cordless phones, or devices which use a wireless remote control, such as televisions. If interference occurs move the product away from the device, plug the product into a different outlet, or move the product out of the line of sight of the remote control. Use only L-765 65W Florescent bulb. Any other bulb may damage unit and create hazard. This unit has a polarized plug. One blade is wider than the other. As a safety feature this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If plug does not full fit in outlet, reverse the direction. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use with anextension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted. Do not attemptto defeat this safety feature. 3 Trouble Shooting Using Fixture H S I L G N E If light does not work check the following:
A. Be sure you have power at the source and fixture is properly plugged into the power source. B. Be sure that bulb is properly and screwed in all the way. C. Bulb may have been damaged in shipment. Check lamp with another bulb or check bulb with a continuity tester. If bad, replace bulb with a new bulb. D. Depress on/off switch on rear of unit. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS!
INSTALLING BULB Always unplug fixture before installing/changing bulb. On rear of fixture unscrew three screws on top edge, and three screws on bottom edge, remove lens. Take lamp out of box and screw into mogul base socket. Grip bulb only at base, to prevent breaking glass tubes. Do not screw in too tightly. Use Designers Edge model number L-765 65 watt bulb for L-2300. Replace lensby fitting in place and replacing screws. SET UP Always use fixture with power cord pointing down. Housing attaches to U-base with straight black knob. Plug unit into 120V 60 Hz AC outlet only, depress toggle switch in upper left corner on rear of housing, light will come on. Never use with an extensioncord unless plug can be fully inserted. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature. POSITIONING You can direct beam of light by loosening straight knob on side of housing. Aim light to desired angle and tighten. Always hold light by carry handle.
