Works with iOS and Android 2 Appearance Smart Dimmer has Up/Down buttons to adjust the brightness of your lights, an indicator that tell you the current brightness of your lights, two LEDs that changes color according to its status, a RESTART button and a RESET button. See the explanation below:
Press to decrease the lighting brightness. Press to increase the lighting brightness. Indicate the current lighting brightness. Blinking Amber and Green App-Config mode initiated. Blinking Green Searching for Wi-Fi. Green Lit up for about 30 seconds when connected to the Wi-Fi network, then turns off. Blinking Amber Resetting. Red No Wi-Fi connection. White Lit up when the light is switched OFF to show the Smart Dimmer location in the dark. Press to reboot the Smart Dimmer. Press and hold (about 5 seconds) until the Wi-Fi status LED blinks amber and green alternately to initiate App-Config mode. Press and hold (about 10 seconds) until the Wi-Fi status LED blinks amber rapidly to factory reset the Smart Dimmer. RESTART RESET 3 Set Up Your Smart Dimmer Follow the steps below to set up your Smart Dimmer via Kasa for Mobile app. 1. Download and install Kasa app Go to Google Play or the Apple App Store or scan the QR code below to download the Kasa app on your Android or iOS smartphone or tablet. 2. Log in or sign up with TP-Link ID Open the app. Use your TP-Link ID to log in. If you dont have a TP-Link ID, tap Create Account and the Kasa app will guide you through the rest. 4. Wire your Smart Dimmer Follow the Kasa app instructions to wire your Smart Dimmer. Then install and secure your dimmer after the wiring. 4 Set Up Your Smart Dimmer Follow the steps below to set up your Smart Dimmer via Kasa for Mobile app. 4. Connect to your home network Enter your Wi-Fi password and add your dimmer to your home Wi-Fi network. 5. Set dimmer range Find the minimum level that your bulbs light up and do the dimming test to ensure your bulbs are compatible with dimming. 6. Complete and enjoy Your Smart Dimmer is all set up and saved in your device list. You can now enjoy using it. 5 Main Device Controls After you successfully set up your Smart Dimmer, you will see the home page of the Kasa app. Here you can view the status of all devices that you've added to Kasa and manage them. Tap on a smart dimmer to check the current brightness of your dimmer. Home Page Device Status 6 Configure Your Smart Dimmer On Device Status page, you can add Presets, create Schedule, set Timer and change the settings of your dimmer. Add Presets Tap your smart dimmer. Create Schedule to create a schedule for your smart Tap dimmer to simplify your daily routine by creating automatic On/Off action. to add and edit brightness presets to 7 Configure Your Smart Dimmer On Device Status page, you can add Presets, create Schedule, set Timer and change the settings of your dimmer. Set Timer Tap dimmer on or off after specific times. Device Settings to view and change the settings of your Tap smart dimmer.
