USER MANUAL FCC ID : 2ARXP-TFT1 IC : 24596-TFT1 INSTALLING YOUR TRAQFREQ 1. Download and launch the TraqFreq mobile app from the app store. 2. Move to a location at least 10 feet away from any other TraqFreq, Bluetooth or WiFi device to ensure best pairing experience. 3. Use your fingernail or credit card in the opening slot and twist to open the device enclosure. 4. Insert the battery into the device with the positive side (+) facing up and snap the enclosure together. 5. Attach the supplied double-sided tape on the side of the device which does not have the TraqFeq logo. 6. Lightly press and attach the device with the tape to your instrument. For instruments that allow access to the inside, this may be the preferable position. For other instruments, place on the outside. For electric and bass guitars, the ideal outside location is on the back of the headstock. Refer to the TraqFreq website for detailed ideal locations for each instrument, at www.traqfreq.com/getting-started. 7. Do not install the TraqFreq device such that the air vents are blocked by one side of your instrument. This will prevent TraqFreq from obtaining the most accurate climate readings. 8. Open the TraqFreq app. Youll be guided through the process of creating an account, registering, calibrating and connecting with your TraqFreq device. 9. Refer to the TraqFeq website for the most up to date installation and usage instructions at www.traqfreq.com/getting-started. OPERATION AND USE 1. Follow the instructions in the Installing your TraqFreq section for proper installation. 2. Play your instrument as you would normally play. There is no need to directly interact with the TraqFeq device; your playing statistics and climate conditions are automatically recorded on the device as you play. When you dont play, the device automatically shuts down when not in use, and it automatically starts up when you move your instrument and start to play. 3. Your TraqFreq device can store up to 30 days of data, so you can play your instrument for up to 30 days without syncing with your phone. 4. When you want to see your latest statistics, bring your phone at least within 20 feet of your instrument for the best syncing experience. 5. The TraqFreq app uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to sync with your TraqFreq device. Each time you open the app it will sync if the device is nearby. 6. You can force the TraqFreq app to sync at any time or it will happen automatically every 15 minutes while the app is running. 7. Launch the TraqFreq app. The app will automatically sync with your TraqFreq device and upload your historical playing statistics and climate conditions. Various charts and notifications will then be updated within the app, allowing you to analyze your playing history and progress, and observe the climate conditions affecting your instrument. CHANGING THE BATTERY 1. Use your fingernail or credit card in the opening slot and twist to open the device enclosure. 2. If you installed your TraqFeq in an accessible location, the one half of the enclosure thats attached to your instrument with the double-sided tape will remain on the instrument. The other half that comes off will contain the battery and its compartment so you do not need to remove the one half with the double-
sided tape. If your TraqFeq is placed inside an instrument, lightly twist and rotate the TragFreq device to loosen the tape. In this case, the tape will need to be replaced after each battery replacement. 3. Remove the old battery. Insert the new battery into the device with the positive side (+) facing up. 4. Align one half of the enclosure and snap the enclosure together. 5. Once the battery has been replaced and the device reattached to your instrument, always start up the TraqFreq app and sync with your device. This step checks that the battery was inserted correctly, that the battery is providing the correct current, and that your device is working as expected. Without this step, your TraqFreq device may not be operating correctly and it may not record your playing and climate conditions as expected. CARE It is important to keep your TraqFreq dry and dust free. For instructions and more information, see http://traqfreq.com/productcare.
