Tips:
Getting started for the first time
Congratulations on receiving your new Athlos Live earbuds! Now, get ready to transform the way you work
out! To get started, you'll want to do a few things:
1) Pick an eartip size that works best for you. Choose the size that fits your ear best, and familiarize yourself
with adjusting the earhooks for a perfect fit. Important: Athlos Live earbuds have specialized swimming
eartips that must be used for water activities like swimming or showering.

2) Turn on your earbuds using the innovative buttonless controls. Most electronics use buttons that introduce
huge weak points for water leakage. Athlos Live uses a single magnetic slider to control all functions instead,
giving your new earbuds incredible waterproof capabilities! See the previous page for all slider controls.
3) Get used to the innovative buttonless controls! Since the magnetic slider is the first of its kind, it may take a
bit of getting used to. You’ll find that after some time, the slider will be much smoother than button controls.
4) [Optional] Add songs to your earbuds: Athlos Live earbuds have internal storage for songs so you don't need
to bring a phone or watch with you! You can store any mp3s you have on your computer by dragging and
placing them into the “MUSIC” or “USER” folder. Only mp3 files stored in the “MUSIC” folder will be played.
Preparing Athlos Live for the water
There are a few but very important steps you should follow before swimming with Athlos Live.
1) Make sure you are using the specialized Athlos swimming eartips.

Underwater
2) Tuck each earhook underneath your goggle straps. The goggle straps should be covering the
front and back of each earhook.
The key is to insert the earhooks under your goggle straps so that they cover the front and back!
3) You might have to increase the volume. This is because our swimming eartips naturally dampen
the volume slightly.
My device won’t turn on!
Troubleshooting
If the device cannot turn on, it could be because the battery has run out of charge. Please
charge the battery for a bit and then try turning the device on again.
The wireless connectivity is flaky or choppy
A simple reset can usually fix most issues. Try turning your earbuds off and back on again.
Oftentimes the issue can also be coming from the device that you are trying to connect your
earbuds to. It can help to turn on and off the wireless pairing of your phone or device.
I can’t connect my earbuds to my laptop with the micro-USB!
Make sure your earbuds are completely dry before plugging in the USB cable. Small amounts
of water can block USB connections and data transfers. Just wait for the earbuds to completely
air dry.
The earbuds sound muffled after I went swimming with them!
This probably means water leaked into the earbud speakers. Make sure you are using the
Athlos swimming eartips and are following the steps in the booklet before you go swimming.
Also make sure that your eartips are firmly snug around the tip of the earbud speaker.
