The headset is not designed to be used by children. If you do not use the headset as intended, it may cause the headset to malfunction. The VR-1 serial number is printed on the type label located under the face mask. You can remove the face mask according to the instructions in the VR-1 Quick guide. High Risk Use Varjo Software and/or Products are not designed, engineered nor certified for control of any equipment or system including aviation, industrial, commercial, military or medical equipment or systems in such a way where such use or a malfunction of the Software or Products could with a meaningful probability lead to death or serious bodily injury of any person or animal, or to severe physical or environmental damage (High Risk Use). Health and safety warnings To reduce the risk of personal injury, discomfort, or property damage, please ensure that all users of the headset read the warnings below carefully before using the headset. Before using the headset A comfortable virtual reality experience requires an unimpaired sense of motion and balance. Do not use the headset if you are sick, tired, sleepy, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, being hung-over, having digestive problems, under emotional stress or anxiety, suffering from cold, flu, migraines, or headaches, or are not generally feeling well, as it may worsen your condition. Consult a doctor before using the headset if you have any conditions that impair your vision or mobility, are pregnant or elderly, have a heart condition or other serious medical condition, suffer from seizures, migraines, or psychiatric conditions. 1 Safe environment Use the headset only in a safe environment, as you may not notice real world obstacles in virtual reality. y Always be aware of your surroundings before starting to use and while using the headset. y Never use the headset in situations that require attention, such as walking, bicycling, or driving. Do not use the headset while in a moving vehicle. y Remember that while using the headset, you may be unaware that people may enter your area. y Clear the area from obstacles and hazards, people, furniture, and any other items that can prevent you from moving freely before using the headset. y Do not use the headset near walls, stairs, balconies, windows, open doorways, low ceilings, ceiling fans, light fixtures, breakable items, open flames, heat sources, or any other items you can bump into or knock down. y Keep in mind the location of the cables and power cords so that you do not walk on, trip over, or pull on them while using the headset. Do not jerk, knot, or bend cables or cords. y Do not handle sharp or otherwise dangerous objects while using the headset. Seizures Some people may experience severe dizziness, fainting, epileptic seizures or blackouts triggered by light flashes, patterns, or exposure to infrared light sources of an eye tracker even though they have no history of these conditions. If you experience any of these symptoms, stop using the headset and consult a doctor. If you have a previous history with these symptoms, consult a doctor before using the headset. To reduce the likelihood of a seizure, do not use the headset when you are tired. Discomfort Some people may experience dry eyes, eye strain, eye or muscle twitching, involuntary movements, altered, blurred or double vision or other visual abnormalities, dizziness, lightheadedness, disorientation, discomfort or pain in the head or eyes, headache, impaired balance, impaired hand-eye coordination, excessive sweating, increased salivation, nausea, fatigue, loss of awareness, or seizures or other symptoms of motion sickness, when using virtual reality. When you start to use virtual reality, keep your first sessions short and take regular breaks. If you feel discomfort, stop using the headset and continue only after the symptoms have disappeared. Do not drive, operate machinery, or engage in other visually or physically demanding activities until you have fully recovered from any symptoms. Overuse Take regular breaks when using the headset. Prolonged use may impact your hand-eye coordination or balance, and may cause other negative effects. Repetitive stress injuries Use the headset in a comfortable position. Do not use excess force when gripping the headset or pressing the buttons. If you experience tingling, numbness, burning, stiffness, throbbing, or other discomfort, stop using the headset and rest until you have fully recovered from any symptoms. If you continue to experience these symptoms, consult a doctor. Interference with medical devices The headset may emit radio waves, which could affect the operation of nearby electronics, including cardiac pacemakers, hearing aids and defibrillators. If you have a pacemaker or other implanted medical device, do not use the headset without first consulting a doctor or the manufacturer of your medical device. Maintain a safe distance between the headset and your medical devices, and stop using the headset if you observe any interference with your medical device. Hearing loss Excessive exposure to loud sounds can cause hearing damage. When you start using compatible headphones with the headset, start with the volume at a low level and then increase the volume slowly. Do not turn up the volume too high. Electrical shock Do not try to disassemble, open, service, or modify the headset or power supply unit, as it can lead to electrical shock or other hazards and may damage the headset or the power supply unit. For PLUGGABLE EQUIPMENT, the socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible. Use the headset only with the power supply unit

Damaged or broken device Do not use the headset if any part is broken or damaged, the provided cables are torn, or any wires are exposed. Do not try to repair any part of the headset yourself. Repairs should be made only by an authorized service facility or Varjo. Contagious conditions To avoid transferring contagious conditions, do not share the headset with persons with contagious conditions, infections, or diseases, particularly of the eyes, skin, or scalp. Skin irritation Stop using the headset if you experience swelling, itchiness, or other irritation. If the symptoms persist, consult a doctor. Safety information To prevent injury to yourself or others or damage to your headset, read this safety information before using it. Safe and comfortable use When you put on the headset for the first time, follow the instructions on how to position the headset on your face correctly. Loosen the headset first by opening the head strap, and then turning the adjustment wheel. Put the headset on, and tighten the headset by first turning the adjustment wheel, and then tightening the head strap. There should be no pain or pressure on your head, and the face mask should feel comfortable on your face. 2 3 When you use the headset, the headset adjusts the lenses automatically based on your interpupillary distance. This setting is on by default. We recommend that you keep the setting on. Switch off the setting if the automatic adjustment does not work, for example due to eyeglasses, sensitivity to infrared light, or any conditions that impair your vision. If you switch off the automatic adjustment, you may feel discomfort. Check that you have enough space above and around you so that you can extend your arms while using the headset. Lift the headset by holding the headset body or the head band. Do not lift the headset by holding the face mask or cables. For the best performance, cover all reflective surfaces in the area where you use the headset. Care and maintenance Handle your device with care and keep it in a clean and dust-free place. Placement Use the headset only in adequately ventilated areas. y Do not cover the headset. y Do not cover the ventilation holes on top of the headset with the head strap or any other item. y Do not place the headset near any items that could scratch the lenses. y Do not expose the headset to open flames or lit y Do not use the headset near water or liquid. Do not use the headset after a dramatic change in temperature. When you move the headset between environments with very different temperature and/or humidity ranges, condensation may form on or within the headset. Allow enough time for the moisture to evaporate before using the headset. Note: When you take the headset from low-

temperature conditions into warmer environment or from high-temperature conditions into a cooler environment, allow the headset to acclimate to room temperature before turning on power. Sunlight and external light sources Do not leave the headset in direct sunlight or strong ultraviolet light. Exposure to direct sunlight can damage the optics and display. Do not shine a laser or an external light source through the lenses. Damage Do not drop, throw or try to bend the headset. If you drop the headset and suspect damage, check varjo.com/support for maintenance instructions. Damage requiring service Use only qualified personnel to service the headset. Contact an authorized service facility if:

Cleaning Unplug the headset from its power source before cleaning. Accessories Do not use the headset with any unauthorized or incompatible accessories or software. Clean the headset with non-abrasive anti-bacterial wipes. Do not use soap, harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, liquid cleansers, or aerosols. Never use water to clean the headset. Clean the headset lenses gently with a dry optical lens micro-fiber cloth. Do not clean lenses with any liquid or chemical cleansers. Clean the face mask cushion with a damp cloth. First, dampen a clean, smooth cloth with water (up to 40C/104F) and then gently wipe the area you want to clean. Air dry at room temperature. Do not tumble dry, iron, or expose the cushion to direct sunlight. Do not scrub, wring, or bleach the cushion. Children Do not leave the headset within the reach of children or allow them to use or play with it. They could hurt themselves or others, or could damage the headset. Device temperature During extended operation, the headset may feel warm. This is normal. If the headset feels too hot, it may not be working properly. Check varjo.com/support for the nearest authorized service facility. Operating and storage temperatures Use the headset at temperatures between 10C to 27C (50 to 80F). This Limited Warranty does not cover any software or other products required to use the Varjo Product which are not in the box at the time of original purchase of the Varjo Product. Such products are subject to their own use or other terms, even if intended or labelled to be used together with the Varjo Product. This Limited Warranty is valid and enforceable only if You purchased a new Varjo Product from an 6 7 Authorized Retailer and the Varjo Product was sold to You in its original, sealed packaging. You may not assign or transfer this Limited Warranty to any third party, unless such restriction is prohibited by mandatory law. If You return the Varjo Product during the Warranty Period and it satisfies the terms of this Limited Warranty, Varjo or its service partner will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace it. Repair or replacement may involve the use of a functionally equivalent reconditioned Varjo Product and/or reconditioned parts, unless prohibited by law. When replacing the Varjo Product, Varjo may replace it with either the same model, or if not available, a model which is nearest to the original model. In case this Limited Warranty does not apply, Varjo may offer You out-of-warranty services against a fee and You may be responsible for any expenses related to the repair or replacement of Your Varjo Product. 3. How Can You Get Service?

If You have a problem with Your Varjo Product, please visit us at varjo.com/support to get helpful service and contact information, and to submit a claim form to obtain warranty service. If it is necessary for You to send Your Varjo Product in for service, we will provide You instructions how to do this. You may be required to pay the cost of shipping the Varjo Product to us. When we receive the Varjo Product, we will determine if there is a defect or malfunction covered by this Limited Warranty. If we find a defect or malfunction covered by this Limited Warranty, we will repair or replace the Varjo Product to provide You a Varjo Product that is substantially in accordance with Varjos technical specifications under Normal Use Conditions, and we will send the repaired Varjo Product or a replacement Varjo Product, if any, to You at our cost. We may not return the original Varjo Product to You. If You send us a Varjo Product without a valid proof of purchase, then we will return the Varjo Product to You at Your cost, subject to prepayment, or, if such costs are not prepaid, we will keep the Varjo Product for thirty (30) days for Your pick-up before it is disposed of. 4. What is not covered?

This Limited Warranty does not cover and Varjo is not responsible for (i) used or resold Varjo Products; (ii) Varjo Products not purchased from Authorized Retailers; or (iii) any software (including but not limited to any software on the Varjo product and any PC software provided by Varjo). Further, this Limited Warranty does not cover and Varjo is not responsible for damage to the Varjo Product or loss of the Varjo Product resulting from

(i) an accident (e.g., accidental physical impact, exposure to liquid, food or other contaminants, etc.) or theft; (ii) use not in accordance with Normal Use Conditions or any other misuse (including but not limited to neglect, abuse or alteration); (iii) use with an unsuitable product not sold or licensed by Varjo; (iv) use with inadequate ventilation; (v) use by children; (vi) circumvention of our security mechanisms; (vii) reverse engineering; (viii) defects or damage from viruses or other software problems introduced into the Varjo Product; (ix) use of the Varjo Product in violation of any laws, regulations or ordinances in effect where the Varjo Product is used; (ix) defects or damage caused by unauthorized repairs; (x) Acts of God, including but not limited to lightning, flood, tornado, earthquake, or hurricane; and/or (xi) cosmetic damages (e.g. scratches). Additionally, this Limited Warranty does not cover and Varjo is not responsible for damage to the Varjo Product or loss of the Varjo Product resulting from normal wear and tear and normal depletion of consumable parts. Finally, this Limited Warranty does not include any specific guarantees that the Varjo Product will be error-free, or regarding uptime or continued availability, data security features of software or online accounts, or that any software, firmware or online sites will function uninterrupted or error-free. This Limited Warranty is void if a Varjo Product is returned with removed, damaged or tampered labels or any alterations (including the unauthorized removal of any component or external cover). Wenn das Varjo-Produkt ausgetauscht wird, kann Varjo es entweder durch das gleiche Modell ersetzen oder, sofern dieses nicht verfgbar ist, durch ein Modell, das dem ursprnglichen Modell am hnlichsten ist. Varjo oder sein Kundendienstpartner werden das reparierte oder ersetzte Varjo-Produkt auf eigene Kosten an Sie zurcksenden. Bei Reparatur oder Austausch des Varjo-Produkts durch Varjo unterliegt das reparierte oder ausgetauschte Varjo-Produkt weiterhin fr die Restdauer der ursprnglichen Gewhrleistung oder fr drei (3) Monate ab dem Tag der Reparatur oder des Austauschs der Gewhrleistung, je nachdem, welcher Zeitraum der lngere ist. Falls Sie Ihr Varjo-Produkt zur Instandhaltung einsenden mssen, werden wir Ihnen erlutern, was Sie tun mssen. Gegebenenfalls mssen Sie fr die Kosten fr den Versand des Varjo-Produkts an uns aufkommen. Bei Erhalt des Varjo-Produkts werden wir feststellen, ob ein Mangel oder eine Strung vorliegt, der/

(viii) Defekten oder Schden durch Viren oder andere Softwareprobleme, die in das Varjo-Produkt eingefhrt wurden; (ix) Verwendung des Varjo-

Produkts unter Versto gegen geltende Gesetze, Vorschriften oder Verordnungen bei Anwendung des Varjo-Produkts; (x) Mngeln oder Schden, die durch unbefugte Reparaturen verursacht werden;

(xi) hherer Gewalt einschlielich, aber nicht beschrnkt auf Blitzschlag, berschwemmungen, Tornados, Erdbeben oder Hurrikan; und/oder (xii) kosmetischen Beschdigungen (z.B. Et saa luovuttaa tai siirt tt Rajoitettua takuuta kenellekn kolmannelle osapuolelle, ellei tm rajoitus ole pakottavan snnksen mukaan kielletty. Jos palautat Varjo-tuotteen Takuuajan aikana ja palautus on tmn Rajoitetun takuun ehtojen mukainen, Varjo tai sen palvelukumppani korjaa tai korvaa sen toisella harkintansa mukaan. Korjaus tai korvaaminen toisella voi ksitt toiminnallisesti 28 29 vastaavan kunnostetun Varjo-tuotteen kyttmisen ja/tai kunnostettuja osia, ellei tm ole lain mukaan kielletty. Kun Varjo-tuote korvataan toisella, Varjo voi korvata sen joko samalla mallilla tai, jos tm ei ole saatavilla, mallilla, joka on lhimpn alkuperist mallia. Varjo tai sen palvelukumppani palauttaa Sinulle omalla kustannuksellaan korjatun tai toisella korvatun Varjo-tuotteen. tuotteen korjaamiseen tai toisella korvaamiseen liittyvt kustannukset. 3. Miten voit saada huoltoa tai palvelua?

Tm Rajoitettu takuu ei kata, eik Varjo ole vastuussa, kun on kyse seuraavista: (i) kytetyt ja uudelleen myydyt Varjo-tuotteet; (ii) Varjo-tuotteet, joita ei ole ostettu Valtuutetuilta jlleenmyyjilt;

tai (iii) mitk tahansa ohjelmistot (mukaan lukien, mutta ei nihin rajoittuen, kaikki Varjo-tuotteen sisltmt ohjelmistot ja Varjon tarjoamat tietokoneohjelmistot). Tm Rajoitettu takuu ei kata, eik Varjo ole vastuussa, kun on kyse Varjo-tuotteelle aiheutuneesta vahingosta tai Varjo-tuotteen menetyksest, joka johtuu (i) tapaturmasta (esim. tahattomasta fyysisest iskusta, altistumisesta nesteelle, elintarvikkeelle tai muille likaaville aineille, jne.) tai varkaudesta; (ii) Tavanomaisia kyttolosuhteita vastaamattomasta kytst tai muusta vrinkytst (mukaan lukien, mutta ei nihin rajoittuen, laiminlynti, vrinkytt tai muuttaminen); (iii) kytst sopimattoman tuotteen kanssa, jota Varjo ei ole myynyt tai lisensoinut;

(ix) siit, ett Varjo-tuotetta kytetn jossain valtiossa kyseisen valtion voimassaolevien lakien, asetusten tai mrysten vastaisesti; (x) valtuuttamattomista korjauksista aiheutuneista vioista tai vahingoista; (xi) ylivoimaisesta esteest, mukaan lukien, mutta ei nihin rajoittuen, ukkonen, tulva, tornado, maanjristys tai hurrikaani; ja/tai (xii) kosmeettisista vahingoista (esim. naarmuista). Lisksi tm Rajoitettu takuu ei kata, eik Varjo ole vastuussa, kun on kyse Varjo-tuotteelle aiheutuneesta vahingosta tai Varjo-tuotteen menetyksest, joka johtuu tavanomaisesta kulumisesta ja kuluvien osin tavanomaisesta kulumisesta. NIIN PITKLTI KUIN SOVELLETTAVA LAKI TMN SALLII TMN RAJOITETUN TAKUUN MUKAINEN VARJON JA SEN TOIMITTAJIEN KOKO VASTUU RAJOITTUU SIIHEN SUMMAAN, JONKA SIN OLET MAKSANUT VARJO-TUOTTEESTA. NM VASTUUNRAJOITUKSET SOVELTUVAT, VAIKKA KYTETTY OIKEUSSUOJAKEINO EI TYTTISI OLENNAISTA TARKOITUSTAAN TAI VARJOA OLISI INFORMOITU KYSEISTEN VAHINKOJEN MAHDOLLISUUDESTA, TST RAJOITETUSTA TAKUUSTA SYNTYVIST TAI SIIHEN LIITTYVIST VAATEISTA, HUOLIMATTA OIKEUDELLISEN VAATEEN LUONTEESTA, SOPIMUKSEEN TAI RIKOSOIKEUTEEN PERUSTUEN (MUKAAN LUKIEN HUOLIMATTOMUUS), ANKARASTA TUOTEVASTUUSTA TAI MUUSTA OIKEUDELLISEN VAATEEN SYYST TAI OIKEUDELLISISTA TAI TASAPUOLISUUDEN PERIAATTEISTA. Incomodidad Al utilizar la realidad virtual, algunas personas pueden notar sequedad ocular, fatiga ocular, contracciones musculares u oculares, movimiento involuntarios, visin alterada, borrosa o doble, u otras anomalas visuales, mareos, aturdimiento, desorientacin, incomodidad o dolor de cabeza u ojos, mal equilibrio, mala coordinacin mano-ojo, sudoracin excesiva, aumento en la salivacin, nuseas, cansancio, prdida de conciencia, convulsiones u otros sntomas relacionados con el mareo. Los primeros usos que haga de la realidad virtual deben ser breves e incluir descansos peridicos. Si tiene un marcapasos u otro dispositivo mdico implantado, no utilice el headset si antes consultarlo con su mdico o con el fabricante de su dispositivo mdico. Mantenga una distancia de seguridad entre el headset y sus dispositivos mdicos y deje de utilizar el headset si detecta interferencias con los mismos. Prdida de audicin La exposicin excesiva a sonidos elevados puede provocar daos auditivos. Descarga elctrica No intente desmontar, abrir, reparar o modificar el headset o la unidad de alimentacin, ya que puede sufrir una descarga elctrica u otros riesgos y puede daar el headset o la unidad de alimentacin. Uso seguro y cmodo Cuando se coloque el headset por primera vez, siga las instrucciones sobre su correcta colocacin sobre el rostro. Daos que necesitan reparacin Solamente el personal cualificado debe realizar reparaciones al headset. Pngase en contacto con un centro de reparaciones autorizado si:

Limpieza Desconecte el headset de la corriente elctrica antes de limpiarlo. Limpie el headset con toallitas antibacterianas no abrasivas. Cuando sustituya el Producto Varjo, Varjo puede sustituirlo por el mismo modelo o, si no est disponible, con el modelo ms parecido al original. Varjo o sus socios corrern con los gastos de devolucin del Producto Varjo reparado o sustituido. Todos los Productos Varjo que Usted enve a Varjo para su reparacin pasarn a ser propiedad de Varjo. Puede que no le enviemos de nuevo el Producto Varjo original. Si nos enva un Producto Varjo sin una prueba vlida de su adquisicin, le devolveremos el Producto Varjo, corriendo usted con los gastos, sujeto al prepago o, si no se realiza el prepago de dichos gastos, almacenaremos el Producto Varjo durante treinta (30) das para que lo recoja antes de eliminarlos definitivamente. 4. Qu es lo que no est incluido?

Esta Garanta limitada no incluye, y Varjo no ser responsable por (i) Productos Varjo utilizados o revendidos; (ii) Productos Varjo no adquiridos a Distribuidores autorizados; o (iii) el software

(incluyendo, entre otros, el software del producto Varjo y el software para ordenador suministrado por Varjo). Adems, esta Garanta limitada no incluye, y Varjo no ser responsable por los daos al Producto Varjo o la prdida del Producto Varjo derivados de

(i) un accidente (p. ej.: golpes fsicos accidentales, exposicin a lquidos, alimentos y otros agentes contaminantes, etc.), o hurto; (ii) un uso distinto del estipulados en las Condiciones normales de uso o cualquier otro tipo de uso indebido

(incluyendo, entre otros, negligencia, abuso y alteracin); (iii) uso con un producto no adecuado y no comercializado ni autorizado por Varjo; (iv) uso en un entorno con ventilacin inadecuada; (v) uso por parte de nios; (vi) elusin de los mecanismos de seguridad; (vii) rediseo; (viii) defectos o daos por culpa de virus u otros problemas del software instalado en el Producto Varjo; (ix) uso del Producto Varjo que infrinja las leyes, normativas u ordenanzas en vigor en el lugar en que se utiliza el Producto Varjo; (ix) defectos o daos causados por reparaciones no autorizadas; (x) casos fortuitos, incluyendo, entre otros, relmpagos, inundaciones, tornados, terremotos o huracanes; y/o (xi) daos estticos (p. ej.: araazos). Qualsiasi prodotto Varjo inviato a Varjo e sostituito da questultimo diventa propriet di Varjo. Se Varjo ripara o sostituisce il prodotto Varjo, il prodotto Varjo riparato o sostituito deve continuare ad essere sotto garanzia per il tempo residuo del periodo di garanzia originale o per tre (3) mesi a decorrere dalla data di riparazione o sostituzione, a seconda di quale dei due periodi pi lungo. Se necessario inviare il prodotto Varjo per ricevere assistenza, vi forniremo le istruzioni su come farlo.
