Installation process 1. Check signal prior to install to ensure connectivity is strong so that the Device can sync. 2. On certain machines, notably National Vendors, turn on the MDB Card Reader in the machine settings. 3. Power down the machine. 4. Mount the device. o Knockout plate - Remove the knockout plate and install the new plate using the original hardware. o Surface mount - Determine where the machine will be drilled for mounting. This should be a flat surface with no obstructions behind it. Use the included template to determine proper placement of the holes. Hole sizes are included on the template (3/16 and 5/8). 5. Mount the VendScreen device using the included nuts. 6. Place the magnetic antenna on the machine and route the wiring to remain out of the way. We suggest mounting outside the machine when possible for better reception. 7. Connect the antenna to the rear of the device using the gold connection. 8. Connect the MDB and DEX cables to the device using the appropriate plugs. Use an existing screw on the machine or a self-tapping machine screw to attach the ground wire to the machine. 9. Connect the white MDB plugs into the machine between the Bill Validator and the Coin Mech. 10. Plug the DEX cable into the DEX port of the machine. The secondary port can be used for handheld DEXing. 11. Power the machine back up. 12. Wait for the VendScreen application to come up. The display will read cash sales only until connectivity has been attained and credit cards can be used. Once the credit card screen appears, the device is good to go!
