(SN5127/SN5147) before use. Your telephone system supports a maximum of four handsets and 30 compatible ULE devices. 1. Use a slot type screwdriver to loosen the screw, and then take it out. 2. Push to the wall mount cover outward to SN5127 base SN5147 base Whats in the box Flashes when the doorbell is chimed or in the pairing mode. Your telephone package contains the following items. Test the signal strength Mount the Audio Doorbell Note Before mounting your Audio Doorbell, make sure you have installed the batteries if you choose to run your Audio Doorbell with batteries. Install Doorbell Wall Mount Cover Attach the wall mount cover to the wall:
1. Use a pencil to mark two holes on the desired location. Then remove the wall mount and drill two holes in the wall. Check for reception strength before drilling the holes. You can carry the Audio Doorbell as you walk around your home. Follow the instructions below to check the signal strength between the Audio Doorbell and the telephone base. Make sure you mount the device in a location where the signal strength is good. Test device signal strength with your SN5127/SN5147 telephone 1. Press MENU on the cordless handset when the telephone is not in use. 2. Press or to scroll to Device setup, and then press SELECT. 3. Press SELECT to select Check signal. 4. Scroll to select Doorbell, and then press SELECT. 5. When the handset screen displays PLS TRIGGER THE DEVICE, make sure your Audio Doorbell is powered on, and then press SELECT. 6. The handset screen displays AWAITING 2. If you drill the holes into a stud, go to step 3.

If you drill the holes into an object other than a stud, insert the wall anchors into the holes and tap gently on the ends with a hammer until the wall anchors are flush with the wall. Install Doorbell Attach the doorbell to the wall mount cover to on the wall:
1. Align the doorbell with the slots on the wall mount cover. 3. Align the holes on the wall mount cover with the holes on the wall (or stud). Tighten the screws into the holes to secure the wall mount cover onto the wall. 2. Push the doorbell gently onto the wall mount cover until they are sealed tightly. SIGNAL. If the handset screen displays NO SIGNAL, press SELECT, and then repeat from step 2 to test again. If the handset screen displays WEAK SIGNAL, move the Audio Doorbell closer to the base, and then adjust the Audio Doorbells location to improve the signal. Press SELECT, and then repeat from step 2 to test again. 7. When the handset screen displays GOOD, press SELECT. The testing is complete. Users manual Replace an Audio Doorbell If you have purchased this new SN7021 accessory Audio Doorbell to replace an old one, you must deregister the old Audio Doorbell first, and then register this new Audio Doorbell to your CareLine telephone base (SN5127/SN5147). Deregister an Audio Doorbell If you want to replace an Audio Doorbell, you must deregister all the devices, and then individually register each device. If you want to register an Audio Doorbell to another telephone base, you must deregister all devices, and then register each device individually to the desired telephone base. To deregister all devices from the telephone base:
1. Press and hold PAGE on the telephone base for about five seconds until the visual indicator light on the telephone base turns on. Keep holding PAGE until the visual ringer indicator light begins to flash. Release from PAGE. 2. Immediately press PAGE again while the light is still flashing. You hear a confirmation tone when the deregistration process completes. It takes about 10 seconds to complete the deregistration. Operating range The operating range of the Audio Doorbell is up to 1,000 feet outdoors or 150 feet indoors. The actual operating range may vary depending on the environmental conditions and other interferences such as walls, doors and other obstructions. 2. Press and hold the pair button on the back of the Audio Doorbell until the LED light at the front flashes, then release it. It takes up to 60 seconds to complete the registration. When the registration is successful, the LED light on the front of the Audio Doorbell turns to steady on, and the telephone base beeps and its visual ringer indicator light turns off. If registration fails, start again from Step 1 above. Notes You cannot register a Audio Doorbell if any other system device is in use. Close the wall mount cover After you completed the registration steps:
1. Push to attach the wall mount cover back to the battery compartment of your Audio Doorbell. 2. Tighten the wall mount cover with screws. Install the batteries before registering it to the telephone base. 1. When the telephone is not in use, press and hold PAGE at the telephone base for about five seconds until the visual ringer indicator light turns on. Release from PAGE. Note You cannot register a Audio Doorbell if any other system device is in use. To register a Audio Doorbell to the SN5147 telephone base:
Connect the Audio Doorbell to a power supply or install the batteries before registering it to the telephone base. 1. When the telephone is not in use, at the telephone press and hold base for about five seconds until the visual ringer indicator light turns on. Release from
