Important Safety Instructions The applied nameplate is located at the bottom of the baby units base. When using your equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury, including the following:
1. Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the product. 2. Adult setup is required. 3. CAUTION: Do not install the baby unit at a height above 2 meters. 4. This product is not a substitute for adult supervision of the infant. Supervising the infant is the parents or caregivers responsibility. This product could cease operating, and therefore you should not assume it will continue working properly for any given period of time. Further, this is not a medical device and should not be used as such. This product is intended to assist you in supervising your baby. 5. Do not use this product near water. For example, do not use it next to a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub or swimming pool, or in a wet basement or shower. 6. CAUTION: Use only the battery provided. There may be a risk of explosion if a wrong type of battery is used for the parent unit. The battery cannot be subjected to high or low extreme temperature and low air pressure at high altitude during use, storage or transportation. Disposal of battery into fire or a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting or the battery can result in an explosion. Leaving the battery in an extremely high temperature surrounding environment can result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid of gas. Battery subjected to extremely low air pressure may result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas. Dispose of used battery according to the information in The RBRC seal. 7. The prongs are not designed to hold the plug in place if it is plugged into a ceiling, under-the-table or cabinet outlet. 9. The rechargeable battery in the parent unit is built-in. Use only the power adapters supplied with this product. Make sure the parent unit and the baby unit are not connected to the switch controlled electric outlets. Connect the power adapters in a vertical or floor mount position only. The adapters prongs are not designed to hold the weight of the parent unit and the baby unit, so do not connect them to any ceiling, under-the-table, or cabinet outlets. When the images from the baby unit are in color, appears on the screen. It is normal to see a short white glare on your parent unit screen as the baby unit is adapting to the dark environment. When the infrared LEDs are on, it is normal for the images to be in black and white. Tip The video quality may vary depending on the surrounding environment and interfering factors like lightings, objects, colors and backgrounds. Adjust the baby units angle or place the baby unit at a higher elevation to prevent glare and blurry displays. Try the following (in the order listed) for a common cure:
1. Disconnect the power to the baby unit(s) and the parent unit. 2. Wait a few seconds before connecting power back to the baby unit(s) and the parent unit. 3. Turn on the baby unit(s) and the parent unit. 4. Wait for the parent unit to synchronize with the baby unit(s). Allow up to one minute for this to take place. The parent unit may not be connected to power. Insert the appliance plug into the power jack of the parent unit and put the adapter in a wall socket. Then, press the on the parent unit to establish connection with the baby unit. Power button The baby unit may not be connected to power. Why are my images in black and white?
The images are in black white during night-time or in a dark room when night vision is automatically activated. You can also choose to view your baby at night in color, see Night Vision (B&W and Color) to learn how. Why is the baby unit producing a high-
pitched noise?
The parent unit and baby unit(s) may be too close to each other.
- Move the parent unit away from the baby unit(s) until the noise stops; OR
- Turn down the volume of your parent unit. Why does the parent unit beep?
The baby unit(s) may be out of range. Move the parent unit closer to the baby unit(s) (but not less than 3 feet). The parent unit may not have enough battery for the parent unit to perform normally. Charge the parent unit until the battery icon becomes solid
. The temperature of your babys room may be too high or too low. Why cant I hear any sounds from the parent unit? Why cant I hear my baby cry?
The parent unit speaker volume may be too low or muted. Press adjustment menu, then press unit menu to change the parent units sound sensitivity to the highest level (level 5), see Sound Detection and Auto Wake Up. to increase the speaker volume. Why are there sound interruptions?
The baby unit(s) may be out of range. Move the parent unit closer to the baby unit(s) (but not less than 3 feet). Other electronic and wireless products may cause intereference with your baby monitor. Try installing your baby monitor as far away from these devices as possible. If you powered on only one baby unit but have two paired to the parent unit, your parent unit may display have turned on via the menu. and the LINK LED light flashes. Switch to the baby unit you Sound Detection and Auto Wake Up Motion Detection Dim Mode Adjust Sound Detection Sensitivity You can turn on Sound Detection Alert and adjust the Sound Sensitivity to only detect your desired level of sounds. When detected, the parent unit screen turns on if it has been switched off or dimmed. Adjust Motion Detection Sensitivity You can turn on Motion Alert and adjust the Motion Sensitivity to only detect your desired level of motion. When detected, the parent unit screen turns on if it has been switched off or dimmed. The parent unit display will dim to conserve energy after 5 minutes of inactivity, in which there were neither any key pressed nor alert received from the baby unit. Mount the baby unit on a dry wall (optional) Notes Check for reception strength and the baby units viewing angle before drilling the holes. The types of screws and anchors you need depend on the composition of the wall. You may need to purchase the screws and anchors separately to mount your baby units. When the baby unit detects sounds that exceed the chosen level, the parent unit screen turns on and the baby unit transmits the detected sounds to the parent unit. You will be able to see and hear your baby. When the baby unit detects motions that exceed the chosen level, the parent unit screen turns on and displays lives images from the baby unit. You will be able to see and hear your baby. If you have turned on Sound Detection Alert, the parent unit beeps when the baby unit detect sounds. If you have turned on Motion Alert, the parent unit beeps when the baby unit detect movements. Place the wall mount bracket on a wall and then use a pencil to mark the top and the bottom holes as shown. Remove the wall mount bracket and drill two holes in the wall (7/32 inch drill bit). 3. Align the wall mount bracket and screws with the holes in the wall as shown. Tighten the screw in the middle hole first, so that the wall mount bracket position is fixed. You can tighten the other screw in the top hole. 4. Place the baby unit on the wall mount bracket. Tighten the screw into the threaded socket at the bottom to secure the baby unit. 2. If you drill the holes into a stud, go to step 3. If you drill the holes into an object other than a stud, insert the wall anchors into the holes. Tap gently on the ends with a hammer until the wall anchors are flush with the wall. 3. Insert the screws into the holes and tighten the screws until only 1/4 inch of the screws are exposed. OR 4. Place the baby unit on the wall mount bracket. Tighten the screw into the threaded socket at the bottom to secure the baby unit. Align the holes on the wall mount bracket with the screws on the wall, and slide the wall mount bracket down until it locks into place. 1 2 If night vision is not activated, newly saved settings will apply the next time night vision is activated. to Notes:
