Hide The Cable 1. If not yet, please download the VURO Installation App from Google Play or Apple Store, so you can connect to the VBOT-1 device to view the live video stream. 2. Adjust the installation location according to the live stream, and make sure neither the road nor driver camera is blocked by anything. 3. Remove the sticker on the base cover and press firmly to the windshield. 4. Hide the cable into the ceiling fabric and the seal of the door 5. Use zip-ties to tide the rest of the cable, and fasten the Power Adaptor under the dashboard. ATTENTION: If you are installing on a truck or bus, where the attached base cannot provide the ideal installation angle, please contact VURO support for the special base for truck/bus. Connect The BT Devices (Optional) 1. Put the battery into the Bluetooth Panic button, and the button will start to blink. 2. Wait until you hear Bluetooth button from the VBOT-1 device. If not, long press the Bluetooth Panic button until you hear the sound. Connect The BT Devices (Optional) 3. Fasten the Bluetooth button to the place where the driver has easy access. 4. Plug the provided Bluetooth OBDII Reader to the OBDII port of the vehicle. The Red status light on the reader should be ON. 5. Wait until you hear the sound OBD Reader Paired from the VBOT-1 device. ATTENTION: Every time when you Double Press the Bluetooth Panic Button, depending on the configuration, it will either trigger the VBOT-1 device to call the preset Emergency Number, or it will send a video-based emergency message to the back-end system. Register Vehicle and Drivers Use the VURO Installation App to register the vehicle to the VURO backend system. If possible, the most recommended installation location is behind the rear-view mirror and close to driver side. 2. If not, please refer to the preferred installation locations as ranked. Connect The Power 1. Locate the fuse box inside the cabin of the installation vehicle. 2. Use a multimeter to measure and look for two fuses, where one has constant (unswitched) power, and the other has switched power (i.e. turning ON/OFF when the vehicle is ON/OFF). 3. Choose the right size of fuse taps to connect the VURO Power Adaptor to the fuse box. If you have questions about fuse taps, please contact VURO support. 4. The Red wire of the power adaptor should be connected to the constant (unswitched) power inside the fuse box, while the Blue wire should be connected to the Accessory (switched) power. The Black wire is connected to the ground, and it usually can be a metal bolt/screw. Function Battery Accessory (ACC) Ground Wire Color RED BLUE BLACK ATTENTION:
Remember to change the switch on the VURO power adaptor to ON after all the wire connection is done. Assemble The Device 1. Unscrew the two screws on the sides of the device, slide the base cover upward and take it off. 2. Insert the SIM card and Micro SD card (Optional to expand the storage space) into the corresponding slots. 1 2 1 2 3 Power Cable 3. Connect the Power Cable from the VURO Power Adaptor, push in until you hear the click. 4. Slide the base cover back in, and only fasten the screw on the driver side. ATTENTION: Only fasten the screw on the driver side in case you need to remove the device for check up in the future. Power The Device 1. Start the engine of the vehicle, and the VBOT-1 device should be turned ON automatically. Now, the status light should be Red. 2. Wait for the device to download and install the latest updates, and the device might restart several times during the process. 3. After several minutes, the status light should become Green, which indicates the device is working under normal mode.
