SYSTEM INTRODUCTION 1) SYSTEM SUMMARY RCL Paging System was designed to help restaurants manage incoming customers efficiently and distinctively. Customers receive instant notification when their table is ready, making them feel special and welcome. Freed from long lines, your restaurant looks more inviting to people walking in, customers are encouraged to wait without fears of missing their table, resulting in higher traffic, while overall restaurant traffic flows more smoothly, leading to faster table turns. INSTALLATION Step Lock the antenna to the right corner of the RCL Transmitter.
(Fit over plug and twist left to lock antenna in place) Step Plug the A/C adaptor into the RCL Transmitter and then into a standard outlet. A surge protector is recommended. Step Fit the pagers on the chargers. A charging indicator will illuminates to indicate charging Pager will be fully charged in 2 hours. 3. SYSTEM SETTING To enter programming mode, press the SETUP button and enter the password * * 8 # #
followed by ENTER. If the password is accepted, the display will show Menu Option F1:Up F2:Down Use the F1 or F2 key to scroll through the several menu options or press CANCEL key to exit the system setting menu. 1) Set Time Display With this feature, you can setup current time into the RCL Transmitter.
At the Set Time menu, set the hour using Number key and then press ENTER key.
Then enter the minutes and press ENTER key.
Press # 1 key to select AM, # 2 is to select PM. After selection of it, then press ENTER key
After the correct time is set, press the ENTER 2) Set Alert Type With this feature, you can have the option of changing your pagers alert type. To change the alert type of your pagers, follow the below instructions:
At the Set Alerts menu, press the ENTER key
If the Change? menu appears, press # 1 key to select Yes, #2key is to select NO, then press ENTER key.
(Press CANCEL key, and return to the main menu.)
Then place all the pagers on the charger
Select one of 1~7 Alert modes, then press ENTER key. 1) Vibration 2) LED 3) Beep 4) Beep/Vib/LED 5) Vibe/LED 6) Beep/Vib 7) Beep/LED
(Use the F1 key to scroll through these 7 alert modes.)
(The charger turns off automatically, then pagers will work for 6 seconds Transmitter sends the changed alert message. Pagers receive the changed Message ( LED blinking ) The charger turns on automatically.)
The pagers will now respond with your new selected alert type.
Return all the pagers to the charger base or plug the power supply. The pagers are ready to receive the page with its new alert mode. you could change alert type with RCL transmitter Select your desired alert type from the table below. #*016 After all of the charging racks in your system are unplugged, return to the transmitter and follow the following procedure:
1. Select your desired alert type combination from the table above:
2. At the PAGER # : prompt, enter the code 911 on the keypad. 3. Press the SETUP key above the large CANCEL key. 4. Your transmitter should then show MESSAGE :
5. Enter the Transmitter Code that corresponds to the alert combination you would like the Customer pager to tone. The * and the # buttons will look like [] on the display. This is normal. 6. Press the large ENTER key. At this point, all of the pagers in your system should tone with the alert that you selected. To reset the pagers and stop the tones, plug the Charging Racks back into the power. 3) Set Alert Time With this feature, you can set the alert time, how long the pager alerts, when the pager receive the signal from the transmitter. To change the Alert time mode of your pagers, follow these instructions:
At the Set Alert Time menu, press Enter key.
If the Change? menu appears, press # 1 key to select Yes or # 2 key to select #. Then press ENTER key.
(Press CANCEL key to exit, and return to the main menu.)
Then place all the pagers on the charger.
Select one of 18 Alert time modes as below, then press ENTER key 1) 05 SEC 2) 15 SEC 3) 30 SEC 4) 60 SEC 5) 90 SEC 6) 120 SEC 7) 180 SEC 8) Continuance
(Use the F1 key to scroll through the 8 alert time modes.)
(The charger turns off automatically, and then pagers will work for 6 seconds Transmitter sends the changed alert message. Pagers receive the changed Message (LED blinking) The charger turns on automatically.)
The pagers will now respond with your new selected alert time mode.
Return all the pagers to the charger base or plug the power supply. The pagers are ready to receive the page with its new alert mode.
Also, you could change alert time with RCL Transmitter Select your desired alert time from the table below. Time of Alert Transmitter Code 5 seconds 15 seconds 30 seconds

1. Select your desired tone length from the table above:
2. At the PAGER # : prompt, enter the code 911 on the keypad. 3. Press the SETUP key above the large CANCEL key. 4. Your transmitter should then show MESSAGE:
5. Enter the Transmitter Code that corresponds to the length of time you would like the Customer pager to tone. The * and the # buttons will look like [] on the display. This is normal. 6. Press the large ENTER key. At this point, all of the pagers in your system should tone for the amount of time that you selected. To reset the pagers and stop the tones, plug the Charging Racks back into the power. 4) Out of Range With this feature, the pagers will play a melody when taken out of range from the transmitter to inform the guest that they are located Out of Range and will miss their page. The melody will only stop, when they return back within range. To turn the Out of Range USE or NOT
At the Out of Rng menu, press Enter key.
Then fit all the pagers on the charger.
Press #1 key, then ENTER key to turn the Out of Range USE (#2 key is to select NOT)
(The charger turns off automatically, and then pagers will work for 6 seconds Transmitter sends the changed alert message. Pagers receive the changed Message (LED blinking) The charger turns on automatically)
Return all the pagers to the charger base or plug the power supply. The pagers are ready to receive the page with its new message mode. 5) Auto MSG With this feature, you can choose if you will send some designated messages.
At the Auto MSG menu, press ENTER key
Then press #1 key, then ENTER key to select USE.
(#2 key is to select NOT)
Return all the pagers to the charger base or plug the power supply. The pagers are ready to receive the page with its new message mode 6) Prog Pager #
With this feature, you can change a pager number.
<Writing Mode>
At prog pager # menu, press the Enter Key
If the Pager # Change? is displayed, press #1 key to select Yes or #2 key to select NOT Then press ENTER key. ( Press CANCEL key to exit, and return to the main menu )
Connect the pin programmer jig to the pager programming holes.
If the LED is blinking, write the digits to program a pager number.
Then press F4 Key.
<Reading Mode>
At Prog pager # menu, press the Enter Key
If the Pager # Change? appears, press #1 key to select Yes or #2 key to select NOT. Then press ENTER key. ( Press CANCEL key to exit, and return to the main menu )
If the LED is blinking, connect the pin programmer jig to the pager 5-slot holes.
Then press F3 Key
The pager number is seen on the LCD screen. 7) Frequency With this feature, you can choose 16 types of frequency
At the Freq menu, press ENTER key
If the Freq to Change? is displayed, press #1 key to select Yes or #2 key to select NOT. Then press ENTER key. ( Press CANCEL key to exit, and return to the main menu )
Use the F1 or F2 key to scroll through the frequencies as below.
Press ENTER key to select frequency you want. 8) System ID With this feature, you can set one of base ID (0~200)
At the System ID menu, press ENTER key
If the System Base ID is displayed, press 3Digits to setup its base ID 9) Group ID With this feature, you can set group IDs (0000~1249).
At the Group ID_1 menu, press 4digits(0000~1249) to setup Users Group ID and ENTER key
: Default Group ID: 911
If the Group ID_2 menu appears, press 4digits(0000~1249) to setup Managers Group ID
: Default Group ID: 1249 10) Out of Range ID With this feature, you can set out of range ID (0000~1249)
At the Out of Range menu, press 4digits(0000~1249) to setup Out of Range ID and ENTER key
: Default Group ID: 0000 11) Baud Rate With this feature, you can select BPS (512/1200)
At the Baud Rate menu, press ENTER key,
If the Baud Rate to Chg menu appears, press #1 key to select Yes, #2 key is to select NOT, then press ENTER key
Press #1 key to select 512 or #2 key to select 1200. Then press ENTER key. 12) Field Test With this feature, you can send the out of range off message one by ten seconds.
At the Field Test menu, press ENTER key.
If the Field Test? menu appears, press #1 key to select Yes, #2 key is to select NOT, then press ENTER key 13) ID Writer With this feature, you can change the settings (Serial number, Baud Rate, System Base ID, Cap1
-Group ID, Cap2-All Page ID, Cap3 - Out of Range ID, Cap4 - Individual ID).
At the ID Writer menu, press the Enter key. If the LED is blinking, connect the pin programmer jig to the pager programming holes.
Using these keys ( F1 Key : UP, F2 Key : Down, F3 Key : Read, F4 Key : Write ), you can setup these settings hereinafter. 1. Serial NO. 2. Baud Rate 3. System Base ID 4. Cap1-Group ID 5. Cap2-All Page ID 6. Cap3-Out of Range ID 7. Cap4-Individual ID 4. OPERATION
- When you need to alert the pagers, just press Pager Number + SEND key
- The corresponding pager will be alerted.
- When you return the alerted pager back to the charger base, itll stop alerting.
- TO SAVE THE PAGER NUMBERS THAT ARE IN THE WAITING, With this feature, you can save the pager numbers that you want to page. The transmitter sends automatically the signals that saved on it. For example, if you want to page number 1, 2, 3 of pagers, you may just press 1 + ENTER + 2 + ENTER + 3 + ENTER key. Then, the transmitter sends the calling signal automatically every 3 seconds.
(You will see red light right above SEND key each time the transmitter sends the signal.) 5. HOW TO USE 1) Franchise Restaurant, Hotel Restaurant
(1) Direction for Use
- For calling waiting guests
(2) Process
- If the guests are too many to provide enough seats to them, the staff located in front of the door, hands out the pagers to the waiting guests.
- The waiting guests do shopping, drinking in the caf, seating on a seat in the park and waiting for their turns with pager.
- When their turn comes, the waiter will page corresponding pager number.
- If his/her pager is paged, the guest immediately moves to the restaurant and guided their seat.
(3) Merits
- Itll keep the restaurant from confusing their entrance.
- The waiter dont need to use the microphone, the mood will be more quiet and high-quality.
- The waiting guest can utilize their waiting time usefully. 2) Caf
(1) Direction for Use
- For calling waiting guests
(2) Process
- When the guest comes to the caf and order, the waiter will provide the receipt and pager to him.
- The guest will take his seat and wait for his turn.
- When the drink is ready, the waiter will call the pager number.
- The guest goes to the pick up place and receives his drink and goes back to his seat.
(3) Merits
- Itll eliminate the discomfort for waiting in front of the pick up place.
- The waiter doesnt need to hurry and prepare the drink in turn.
- If utilizing multiple levels, itll eliminate the confusion in front of the store 3) Hospital
(1) Direction for Use
- For calling waiting patient or families
(2) Process
- When outpatient goes to the post after registering, the nurse will hand out the pager to the patient.
- When turn is coming, the nurse will page the patient and the patient will enter the medical office.
(3) Merits
- Its needless to wait in front of the busy medical office and even there are not enough seats to sit on.
- Itll speed up the entrance and reduce the waste time. 4) Pharmacy
(1) Direction for Use
- For calling waiting patient
(2) Process
- After finishing their medical treatment, the patient will go to the pharmacy to receive their medicine.
- It may take lots of time to receive the medicine because of many waiting patients.
- At this time, the staff will hand out the pager to the patient.
- When turn is coming, the staff will page the patient to inform that the medicine is ready.
(3) Merits
- While waiting their turn, the patients do not need to wait in the tiny waiting area.
- Instead of waiting in the pharmacy, the patient will go shopping, waiting in the caf or park and itll serve the patient more comfortable. 5) Church
(1) Direction for Use
- For calling guardian
(2) Process
- When they go to worship, the parent will leave their children to the playroom.
- They receive the pager and enter to the chapel.
- If something is happened to the children during the worship, the playroom manager will page their parent.
- Corresponding parents will move to the playroom immediately, and check whether their children are in trouble or not.
(3) Merits
- Itll keep the chapel quiet and solemn.
- During the worship, the parents have no worries about their children and concentrate on their worship.
- The children can play in the playroom instead of their boring worship. 6) Car Wash
(1) Direction for Use
- For calling waiting guests
(2) Process
- When the guest comes to the Car Wash Center to wash their car, sometimes they need some time to wait their turn.
- Then, the staff in the Car Wash will hand out the pager to the waiting guest.
- After finishing Car Wash, the staff will page corresponding car owner.
- The guest who is paged will come to the Car Wash and return back his car.
(3) Merits
- Itll reduce the time to waste in front of the Car Wash.
- The guest can do his business instead of waiting.
- Itll keep the entrance of Car Wash not crowded.
