The cable transmits vehicle video telematics from the Xirgo dashcam to the Geotab GO device for use in the MyGeotab platform. Working with a vehicles power system can be dangerous to both you and your vehicle. Since vehicle designs and power/input sources can vary from vehicle to vehicle, the procedures described here are intended as a guide only. Connect the Cable to the Dashcam Connect cable to Xirgo dashcam Connect the Cable to the Geotab IOX Ecosystem The device can connect directly to the Geotab GO device or daisy chain to the expansion port of another IOX cable already connected to a Geotab GO device. Connect the Cable to a GO Device If connecting the XVA0CBL-IOX-01 directly to a Geotab GO device, and no other devices are to be connected, perform the following. 1. Connect the cable to the IOX port on the side of the Geotab GO device. 2. Connect the termination shunt to the cables expansion port. For details, refer to Termination Shunt on page 6. Daisy Chain the XVA-IOX-101 to another IOX Cable If daisy chaining the XVA0CBL-IOX-01 to an existing IOX connection, perform the following. 1. If a termination shunt is installed on the connected cables expansion port, remove it from the cable. 2. Connect the XVA-CBL-IOX-01 to the expansion port on the connected devices cable. Page 5 XVA-CBL-IOX-01 / INSTALLATION GUIDE DOC # 1013A 3. Use a cable tie to secure the XVA-CBL-IOX-01 to the expansion port. Termination Shunt The XVA-CBL-IOX-01 cable is capable of daisy chaining to other devices in the IOX ecosystem; creating a network of in-

vehicle devices connected to the MyGeotab platform through a Geotab GO device. Remove the Termination Shunt The XVA-CBL-IOX-01 cable is equipped with a removable termination shunt that must be removed from the cables expansion port if the cable is to connect to other IOX cables. Once the connection is made, secure the connector to the expansion port with the included cable tie. Daisy-chained device installed Install the Termination Shunt If the cable is not going to be connected to other IOX cables, the termination shunt must be installed on the cables expansion port to ensure communication amongst the connected devices.
