iii Dahua 2 Inch PTZ Dome Camera Installation Manual Important Safeguards and Warnings Safety Measures 1. Qualified Engineer Needed The installation engineer or maintenance engineer shall have corresponding CCTV system installation certificate or maintenance qualification certificate. The installation engineer or maintenance engineer shall have qualification certificate for work at height. The installation engineer or maintenance engineer shall have the basic knowledge and operation technique for low-voltage cable layout and low-voltage electronic cable connection. Please read the installation manual carefully and keep it well for future reference, We are not liable for any problems caused by unauthorized modifications or attempted repair. 2. Lifting Appliance Requirement Please select the proper speed dome installation mode and use the lifting appliances at the safety environment. The lifting appliances shall have the enough capacity to reach the installation height. The lifting appliances shall have safe performance. The precaution measures include two types: Warning and Note. Warning: It is to alert you there is an optional risk of death or series injury!

Warning 1. All installation and operation here should conform to your local electrical safety codes. We assume no liability or responsibility for all the fires or electrical shock caused by improper handling or installation. 2. The power shall conform to the requirement in the SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) and the rated voltage power supply of Limited power source according to the IEC60950-1, the exact power supply requirement is subject to the device label. 3. Be sure to use all the accessories (such as power adapter) recommended by manufacturer. 4. Do not connect several speed domes to one power adapter. It may result in overheat or fire if it exceeds the rated load. iv Dahua 2 Inch PTZ Dome Camera Installation Manual 5. Avoid aiming the lens at the strong radiation source directly (such as sun, laser, molten steel etc); in case it may cause unrecoverable damage to the thermal imaging detector. Whats worse, it may cause severe damage to the detector. 6. Avoid oil stain and kinds of chemicals tarnishing and damaging the lens surface. 7. Store the device in a cool and dry place where there is ventilation but no intense electromagnetic field. 8. Violent vibration or crash is not allowed during transportation and application. 9. Before you connect the cable, install or uninstall, or begin the daily maintenance work, please turn off the power and unplug the power cable. 10. Please make sure the produce is secure firmly on the wall or the ceiling. 11. Please turn off the power and unplug the power cable, If there is any smoke, disgusting smell, or noise. Please contact your local retailer or customer service centre for help. 12. All the examination and repair work should be done by the qualified service engineers. We are not liable for any problems caused by unauthorized modifications or attempted repair. Note 1. Safety Transportation Heavy stress, violent vibration or water splash are not allowed during transportation, storage and installation. This series product must use split type package during the transportation. We are not liable for any damage or problem resulting from the integrated package during the transportation. 2. When device is malfunction Shut down the device and disconnect the power cable immediately if there is smoke, abnormal smell or abnormal function. Please contact your local retailer ASAP. 3. Do not try to dismantle or modify the device There is risk of personal injury or device damage resulting from opening the shell. Please contact your local retailer if there is internal setup or maintenance requirement. We are not liable for any problems caused by unauthorized modifications or attempted repair. 4. Do not allow other object falling into the device Please make sure there is no metal or inflammable, explosive substance in the speed dome. The above mentioned objects in the device may result in fire, short-circuit or damage. Please shut down the device and disconnect the power cable if there is water or liquid falling into the camera. Please contact your local retailer ASAP. Please pay attention to the camera. Avoid the sea water or rain to erode the camera. 5. Handle carefully Do not allow this series product fall down to the ground. Avoid heavy vibration. v Dahua 2 Inch PTZ Dome Camera Installation Manual 6. Installation Environment Requirement This series speed dome should be installed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, inflammable, explosive substances and etc. This series product shall be away from the strong electromagnetism radiant, please keep it away from wireless power, TV transmitter, transformer and etc. 7. Daily Maintenance Please use the soft cloth to clean dust on the shell, or you can use soft cloth with cleaning liquid to clean the shell and then use soft cloth to make it dry. Do not use gasoline, dope thinner or other chemical material to clean the shell. It may result in shell transfiguration or paint flake. Do not allow the plastic or rubber material to touch the shell for a long time. It may result in paint flake. vi Dahua 2 Inch PTZ Dome Camera Installation Manual 1 INTELLIGENT SPEED DOME INSTALLATION 1.1 Installation Environments Basic Requirement All installation and operation here should conform to your local electrical safety codes. Before installation, please open the package and check all the components are included. Please make sure the speed dome installation environment and installation mode can meet your requirement. If there is special requirement, please contact your local retailer for more information. We assume no liability or responsibility for all the fires or electrical shock caused by improper handling or installation. 1.2 Check installation space and installation location intension Please make sure the installation environment has enough space to install the speed dome and its corresponding bracket. Please make sure the ceiling, wall and the bracket can support the speed dome and its corresponding installation component. It shall sustain the 8X weight of the speed dome. 1.3 Please keep all package material well for future use Please keep speed dome package material well in case you need to send it back to your local retailer or manufacturer for maintenance work. Non-original package material may result in device damage during the transportation. 1 Dahua 2 Inch PTZ Dome Camera Installation Manual 2 SETUP BEFORE INSTALLATION 2.1 Check Accessories Before the installation, please check the accessories one by one according to the packing list. Please make sure all the components listed are included. (Please check the container list for details.) 2.2 Open Device Remove the package and then take out the device. See Figure 2-1. Figure 2-1 2.3 Installation Position Map The installation position map is used for drilling holes and positioning on the hard ceiling and cable outlet position. See Figure 2-2. Figure 2-2 2 Dahua 2 Inch PTZ Dome Camera Installation Manual 2.4 SD Card Slot and Rest Button SD card slot and button is shown in Figure 2-3. Please make sure the SD card is in the non read-write state when removing it. Otherwise, it may result in data loss and SD card damage. The Reset button is used for restoring default setting. Long press Reset button for more than 5 seconds, the system configuration information will be recovered to default setting. Figure 2-3 3 Dahua 2 Inch PTZ Dome Camera Installation Manual 3 CAMERA INSTALLATION 2-inch wifi network speed dome mainly adopts ceiling mount mode, which can be installed on the ceiling or wall. 3.1 Component Installation The installation of WIFI antenna is shown in Figure 3-1. Figure 3-2 4 Dahua 2 Inch PTZ Dome Camera Installation Manual Figure 3-3 3.2 Installation Steps 3.2.1 Installation Environments The ceiling mount speed dome can be installed in the hard construction ceiling in the indoor environment. Before the installation, please make sure:
The ceiling is thick enough to install the expansion bolt. The ceiling can at least sustain the 8x weight of the speed dome. 3.2.2 Installation Steps 3.2.2.1 WIFI Antenna Installation Step 1 Align the thread end of WIFI antenna to the port stud on the pedestal of the speed dome, and rotate it according to the direction shown in the Figure 3-1 until the antenna is firmly installed. Step 2 It can adjust the direction of WIFI antenna according to requirement after the WIFI antenna is firmly fixed on the WIFI port of the rear panel. 3.2.2.2 Speed Dome Installation Note: There are two cable outlet modes for ceiling mount installation. Dont drill hole on the ceiling, and open wire outlet from the side of the speed dome. Drill hole on the ceiling, and concealed wire outlet from the ceiling. 5 Dahua 2 Inch PTZ Dome Camera Installation Manual Step 1 Install the default pedestal seal ring of the speed dome on the bracket according to the way shown in Figure 3-2. Step 2 Confirm installation position and outlet mode first, dig holes on the ceiling according to the installation position map, and then put the three plastic expansion bolts into the holes you just dug. Step 3 Unscrew three locking screws on the enclosure by using inner hex wrench, and remove the enclosure. Step 4 Lay the outgoing line according to the outlet mode, and use three self-tapping screws to fix the pedestal on the installation surface, and insert the screws into the expansion bolts. Step 5 Use three locking screws to fix the dome enclosure on the pedestal. So far, the camera installation is completed, and you can adjust the lens angle, zoom, focus and etc on the WEB interface. 6 Dahua 2 Inch PTZ Dome Camera Installation Manual 4 APPENDIX LIGHTENING PROTECTION AND SURGE PROTECTION This series speed dome adopts TVS lighting protection technology. It can effectively prevent damages from various pulse signals below 2000W, such as sudden lighting and surge. While maintaining your local electrical safety code, you still need to take necessary precaution measures when installing the speed dome in the outdoor environment. The distance between the signal transmission cable and high-voltage device (or high-voltage cable) shall be at least 50 meters. Outdoor cable layout shall go under the penthouse if possible. For vast land, please use sealing steel tube under the land to implement cable layout and connects one point to the earth. Open floor cable layout is forbidden. In area of strong thunderstorm hit or near high sensitive voltage (such as near high-voltage transformer substation), you need to install additional high-power thunder protection device or lightning rod. The thunder protection and earth of the outdoor device and cable shall be considered in the building whole thunder protection and conform to your local national or industry standard. System shall adopt equal-potential wiring. The earth device shall meet anti-jamming and at the same time conforms to your local electrical safety code. The earth device shall not short circuit to N (neutral) line of high voltage power grid or mixed with other wires. When connect the system to the earth alone, the earth resistance shall not be more than 4 and earth cable cross-sectional area shall below 25 mm. 7 Dahua 2 Inch PTZ Dome Camera Installation Manual 5 APPENDIX 12V DC WIRE GAUGE AND TRANSMISSION DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP SHEET The recommended max transmission distance is under the following environments: The wire diameter is fixed and the DC 12V power voltage loss rate is below 10%. functions are for reference only. Some series products may not support all the functions listed below. v Dahua 2 Inch PTZ Camera Web 3.0 Operation Manual 1 Network Config 1.1 Network Connection Speed dome and PC connection mainly has two ways. See Figure 1-1 and Figure 1-2. Figure 1-1 Before you access speed dome via the Internet, you need to have its IP address. You can use quick config tool to search IP of the speed dome. Please refer to Quick Configuration Tool manual. Figure 1-2 1.2 Log in Open IE and input speed dome address in the address bar. For example, if your speed dome IP is 192.168.1.108, then please input http:// 192.168.1.108 in IE address bar. See Figure 1-3. 1 Dahua 2 Inch PTZ Camera Web 3.0 Operation Manual Input your IP address here Figure 1-3 The login interface is shown as below. See Figure 1-4. Please input your user name and password. Default factory username is admin and password is admin. Note: For security reasons, please modify your password after you first login. Figure 1-5 Click Please click here to download and install the plug-in. The system pops up warning information to ask you whether run or save this plug-in. Please download to your local computer and then click webplugin.exe; you can see an interface shown as in Figure 1-6. 3 Dahua 2 Inch PTZ Camera Web 3.0 Operation Manual Click install, you will see Figure 1-7. Figure 1-6 Figure 1-7 When plug-in installation is complete, the installation page closes automatically. The web-end will refresh automatically, and then you can view video captured by the camera. 4 Dahua 2 Inch PTZ Camera Web 3.0 Operation Manual 2 Live After you logged in, you can see the live monitor window. Parameter Function Figure 2-2 Main stream Sub (Extra) stream 1 Sub (Extra) stream 2 Protocol Streaming media protocol connection, under main stream config, monitor video or not. Generally for storage and monitor. Streaming media protocol connection, under sub stream 1 config, monitor video or not. When network bandwidth is insufficient, it substitutes main stream for monitoring. Streaming media protocol connection, under sub stream 2 config, monitor video or not. Figure 2-4 6 Dahua 2 Inch PTZ Camera Web 3.0 Operation Manual SN Parameter Function 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Regional Focus Remark Zoom Click the button and use mouse to select an area in the box on the video screen, which will make the device auto focus in the selected box area. Click it and then select pen color, you can write down the mark information on the preview interface. When the video is in the original status, click it you can select any zone to zoom in. In the non-original status, you can drag the zoom-in zone in specified range. Right click mouse to restore previous status. Click it; you can use the middle button of the mouse to zoom in/out the video size. Snapshot Click the button to snapshot, save picture to path in Chapter 4.1.2.5. Triple snap Click it, system can snap at 1f/s. All images are saved to path in Chapter 4.1.2.5. Record Click it, system can record. All images are saved to path in Chapter 4.1.2.5. Help Click it to open help file. 2.4 Video Window Setup The interface is shown as in Figure 2-5. Figure 2-5 2.4.1 Image Adjustment Click this button to display/hide image control interface. Click it to open picture setup interface. This interface is on the top right pane. All the operations here apply to WEB end only. Please go to Setup-
>Camera->Conditions to adjust corresponding items. It is to adjust monitor video contrastness. It is to adjust monitor video hue. It is to adjust monitor video saturation. Reset Restore brightness, contrastness saturation and hue to system default setup. R e Figure 2-6 2.4.2 Original Size Click this button to go to original size. It is to display the actual size of the video stream. It depends on the resolution of the bit stream. 2.4.3 Full Screen Click it to go to full-screen mode. Double click the mouse or click the Esc button to exit the full screen. 2.4.4 Width and Height Ratio Click it to restore original ratio or suitable window. 2.4.5 Fluency Adjustment There are three levels of fluency for you to select (real-time, normal, fluent). digits. The valid string includes: character, number, and underline. Password can be 0~32 characters in number and letter only. User can modify other users password. The user amount is 18 and the group amount is 8 when the device is shipped out of the factory. The factory default setup includes two levels: user and admin. You can set the corresponding group and then set the rights for the respective user in the specified groups. User management adopts group/user modes. The user name and the group name shall be unique. One user shall be included in only one group. Currently logged in user cannot change his/her own right. 4.7.2.1 Username In this interface you can enable anonymity login, add/remove user and modify user name. See Figure 4-85. Figure 4-85 Enable anonymity login: Enable anonymity login, and input IP. No username or password is required, you can log in by anonymity (with limited rights). You can click logout to end your session. Add user: It is to add a name to group and set the user rights. See Figure 4-86. There is a user called admin during initialization, see Figure 4-86, and enter user name and password to select which group it belongs to. Here you can input the user name and password and then select one group for current user. Please note the user rights shall not exceed the group right setup. For convenient setup, please make sure the general user has the lower rights setup than the admin. 88 Dahua 2 Inch PTZ Camera Web 3.0 Operation Manual Figure 4-86 Modify user It is to modify the user property, belonging group, password and rights. See Figure 4-87. Modify password It is to modify the user password. You need to input the old password and then input the new password twice to confirm the new setup. Please click the OK button to save. Please note, the password ranges from 0-digit to 32-digit. It shall include the number and letter only.
