Setting Up the Remote Control Setup Remote to Control the Digital Adapter RF Remote Pairing Process:
When multcle remotes workin a shared space, interference can result. To avoid this problem, the remote must be paired with the Digital Adapter. Step 1 Turn on your TV using the buttons on the TV or the TV remote. Make sure power is connected to your Digital Adapter and itis plugged into the TV. Note: Your TV must aays be set to the proper channel
(Ch 3 or Ch) or HDMI Input to match the output channel on the back of your Digital Adaprer. Step 2 Install the batteries (included in your kit) in your new remote contral Step 3 Make certain no other Digital Adapter remote isin the area, Make sure power i connected to your Digital Adapter. Turn on your TV using the buttons on the TV or the TV remote (nota digital adapter remote inthis instance). Step 4 Press and hold both DTA POWER and SELECT keys at the same time Once the red light on the remote turns on, then release both keys Wait 10 seconds, a 3 digit validation code wil display on the TV. Code appears on the sreen, Step 5 Enter the 3 digit code using the Digital Adapter remote When remote is successfully pated withthe Digital Adapter, the remote red light wll link twice. Red ight location Proceed to back ofthis page to setup the Remote Control with your television Setup R Step 6 Press and hold both Digit 1 and Digit 3 keys together unt the red light turns on, Release both keys. Keep your eyes on the Remote so you can watch the red light Control the Televi Keep your eyes youcan watch the tedlight.

(ChB oF Ch 4) or HOM Input to match the output channel onthe back of your Digital Adapter n Step 7 Point the new remote at the TV. Press and hold the TV POWER key. The remote will start searching forthe right code while you are holding this key. When the TV tums off release the key within 2 seconds to lock in the code, Step 8 Point the new remote at the TV. Press TV POWER on your Remote to turn on your TV. IFyour TV responds (turns on), then you have successfully programmed your Remote, The setup of the Remote is now complete. If you are not successful the first time, try again. Two Remotes IF you were unable to program your remote, you will need to use two remotes to operate your TV:
the Digital Adapter Remote and the one that came with your TV, Setting the Remote Volume 1. Use the remote contol that came with your TV to adjust the volume to comfortable level. This should be the last time youll use this remote for volume control 2 Going fornard use only your Digital Adapter Remote to adjust volume up or down. Caution:
Don't use your TV remote to change channels. Your TV must alwoys be set to the proper HDMI Input, Ch'3 oF Ch 4 or you will see a snowy or blank screen. Using your new remote control Program your remote control
@ Turnonyour TV and tune it to the output channel you chose during installation (Ch. 3 or 4), or to the proper HDMI input. install the batteries that were included in this kitin the remote,
@ Press and hold the 1 and 3 buttons until the red light turns on, then release the buttons. Point the remote at the TV and press and hold the TV POWER button. When the TV turns off, release the button within 2 seconds.
@ Tryturning your TV back on with your new remote. IFyour TV responds, then you have successfully programmed your remote. Ifnot, try repeating the above steps again. Remote control functions TV POWER: Turns TV On and Off once the Remote has been programmed. VOLUME: Use VOLUME UP toraise volume and VOLUME DOWN to lower It CHANNEL: Use CHANNEL UP to advance one channel and CHANNEL DOWN to go back one channel. MENU: Press to display Menu screen, CLEAR; Erases the last digit entered. MUTE: Press to turn sound on or off. SELECT: Press to select the item the cursor is pointing to. NAVIGATION KEYS: Press to move cursor UP, DOWN, LEFT and RIGHT. 9 INFO: Press to display current channel information. INPUT: Press to togale among TV Input signals. LAST: Press to returnto the last previously viewed channel.
