CAUTION Failure to comply with these instructions may cause damage to the product or moderate injury to the user. The system air conditioner is not to be moved. If it must be moved inevitably, make sure to contact the system air conditioner store that has the LG Electronics system air conditioner installation license. In the case of apartments, system air conditioners included in the basic items at the time of sale cannot be relocated in accordance with Housing Supply Regulations. Get the help of a professional installer when moving and reinstalling the air conditioner. (If the product is damaged due to reinstallation performed by a moving center or the owner, repairs will be charged. Be sure to check for any issues when installing.) WARNING Installation related You must contact the nearest service center or installation center for product installation. Or it may cause fire, electric shock, explosion, or injury. Use the standard parts. Otherwise, fire hazard, electric shock, explosion, injury, or malfunction may occur. Request installation from installation shop or service center when reinstalling the product. Or it may cause fire, electric shock, explosion, or injury. User Guide Class B Device (Broadcast and communication instruments for domestic use) This product has been certified for Class B electromagnetic waves for domestic use and intends to serve domestic purposes, regardless of region. 04 PRODUCT CONFIGURATION AND INSTALLATION OF REMOTE CONTROL Product Configuration 1 Pull the cable from the wall and check the cable direction to install. 2 Align the back cover (installation plate) and check the positions of two mounting holes on the wall. 3 Fix the back cover on the installation position through the mounting holes by using screws. INSTALLATION MANUAL Connecting wire (1 EA) Wall plate Installation of Remote Control Follow the below guidelines for installing the remote control. NOTE During wired remote control installation, do not embed inside the wall. (It may cause temperature sensor failure.) Do not install the cable over 50 m. (It may cause communication defects.) When installing the extension cable, carefully check the direction of the connectors on the remote control side and the product side before the installation. Extension cable specification: Use AWG 24, 3 conductor equivalent or higher wired cables. Do not install cables longer than 50 m, as this may cause communication problems. Install the product so that it doesnt bend or cause a clearance with the wall. Incorrect wiring can cause damage to the product. To avoid damage by static electricity, touch the metal parts before handling the remote control to discharge the static electricity from the body.

(Installation Plate) NOTE Depending on your environment, you can install the remote control neatly by placing the wall plate on the wall and tightening the back cover. 4 Connect the power cable to the terminal at the bottom of the remote control as shown in the figure below. tions. Install in the direction suitable for installation environment. Connection direction for remote control cable: Back center, left upper end, right upper end When installing the remote control cable on an upper side, first remove the remote control cable guide groove before installing it. Use a long nose when removing the guide groove, and polish the cut surface after removing it. 7 Fix the power cable on the back cover hook, and press the upper side of the remote control toward the back cover as in the figure. Using Group Control Connect two to 16 indoor units of air conditioner to a single controller for control. GND Signal wire DC 12V GND Signal wire NOTE Connect using the group control cable.

Operation Mode Select the operation mode to set the desired mode.
- Details of operation mode NOTE The reason why the cool air isnt coming out immediately after cooling is started is because of its function to protect the compressor. After 3 minutes, the compressor operates, and a cold wind comes out. Depending on the outdoor unit cycle operation, the background color of the home screen is expressed in red for heater and blue for air conditioner. The emergency heater is activated under emergency heating conditions after the installation and related settings. Depending on the product, some functions cannot be set. Room temperature Displays room temperature. Set temperature The set temperature area for the current operation mode is displayed.

NOTE When using the dehumidification/air blowing operation, you cannot set the desired temperature. The setting temperature may vary depending on the type of indoor unit. Wind Strength Settings Select a wind strength icon and select a desired wind strength in the options list. Power heating rapidly increases the room temperature. Power heating Power Cool Power Cool rapidly reduces the room temperature. The local special function applied to models in the India region quickly reduces room temperature. Please refer to the additional functions detailed description page. Menu You can select the menu icon and enter to set the sched-
ule, timer, energy, monitoring, and settings. You can also check the Notification information. Smart Care This is a function that manages the indoors pleasantly and saves energy through AI operation. 1) You can select the icon to use Smart Care. 2) When Smart Care works, it is displayed on the left upper end of the main screen. 3) When the operation condition is not Smart Care, the standby status is displayed as below. NOTE When there is a notification, the number of notifications and the notification icon are both displayed. If you press the icon, you will be moved to the notification screen. NOTE Smart Care may not be displayed/work in some products. Smart Care only works when the product is cooling or heating. You may feel that cooling and heating are weak due to the power saving operation of Smart Care. Precisely set the date and time for the remote control and the central controller when installing the AI engine. If you do not set the date and time, an incorrect result value may show. The site connected to our central controller places priority on the date and time settings of the central controller than those of the wired remote control. In case of model for both cooling/heating, if the simultaneous operation of both cooling/heating is working, Smart Care is not available. 10 Humidity Displays the room humidity. NOTE The displayed humidify may vary according to the humidity sensing position settings (set by the installer). Remote control: Remote control humidity display Indoor unit: When the indoor unit humidity is received, it displays the indoor unit humidity, and if not, no humidity is displayed. Indoor air quality A function to monitor the dust value measured by the dust sensor in the indoor unit. You can check the concentration value of each of fine dust (PM10), ultrafine dust (PM2.5), extreme ultrafine dust
(PM1.0) on the air quality screen. The general quality displays the worst dust status value among the three dust status values.

NOTE On the Air Quality screen of the ventilation product, outdoor shows the concentration of fine dust in the air entering the ventilation product, and indoor inflow shows the concentration of fine dust in the air entering the indoors after passing through the filter. You can check, add, modify, or delete the exceptional date information stored in the remote control in the Designate Exceptional Date. If the product operation is OFF, the simple timer is turned ON after the relevant time has passed. In the simple timer, if the operation is turned ON or OFF before the operation of the timer, the set timer is canceled. Sleep Timer The sleep timer is a function to operate or stop the air conditioner in the sleep mode after a certain period of time before sleep. Check the circuit breaker. Check the installation status of the wired remote control. Connect the air conditioner to the remote control cable. Please check it again by referring to the installation methods in the manual. The timer operation does not work. Is the time set properly?
Correctly set the current time. Did you set the timer correctly?
Please set it again by referring to the manual. No cold wind blows. Is the desired temperature set to be lower than the current temperature?
Set the desired temperature to be lower than the current temperature. The remote control dis-
play window displays an error. Does the remote control display window displays CH03?
The screen has stopped. Has it stopped at the LG logo screen for the booting or after the LG logo screen?
Does the remote control screen stop or slow during use?
Please check the installation status of the wired remote control again. Please check the connection status of the air conditioner and the remote control cable again.
