Transform it into a portable Bluetooth speaker using The Vamp. You can position The Vamp anywhere on your speaker. Stick the metal disc provided onto your speaker and The Vamp will be held magnetically in place. Charge The Vamp using the USB charge cable provided. Plug the micro USB into The Vamp and the USB into the USB port of your computer or phone charger. When charging the LED will be a solid red. The LED will go off when fully charged. Full charge is approx. 10 hours. LOW BATTERY When the battery is low, the LED will flash red and The Vamp will beep 5 - 10 minutes before it powers down. To ensure longer battery life only charge The Vamp when the battery is low or flat. FIND ANY SPEAKER Any passive speaker can connect to The Vamp. Some backs of speakers are A. like this...with speaker terminals B. or like this...with a wire CONNECT TO THE VAMP A. Using the audio cable provided, put the two wires in the speaker terminal holes and put the jack into The Vamp. B. Put the cables from the speaker into the speaker connectors of The Vamp. PLAY VIA BLUETOOTH 1. Make sure The Vamp is connected to the speaker. Turn The Vamp on. Wait for a beep. If there is no sound the speaker is not connected properly. Turn off The Vamp and reconnect the speaker. The Vamp automatically goes into pairing mode and will search for a device for approx. 10 mins. The LED will flash blue and red alternately. 2. Pair your device. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your device. Enable Bluetooth and select The Vamp from the list of devices. Wait for device to pair. 3. Once paired, The Vamp will make a connect tone and the LED will flash blue. 4. Enjoy the sound with The Vamp. For your desired sound, use your device to control the EQ (equaliser) and volume. PAIR TO A DIFFERENT DEVICE Turn off the Bluetooth on the previously connected device. The Vamp will enter pairing mode and repeat steps 1 - 3 using the new device. VIA CABLE Connect The Vamp to a speaker and use the micro USB cable to connect the jack to your audio device. OTHER CONNECT OPTIONS You can also connect to:
1. Hi-fi speakers Connect with the audio cable provided 2. 3. PC speakers Plug in the stereo jack from the PC speakers into The Vamp. Car speakers Use a cassette adaptor with 3.5mm jack and plug into The Vamp. Or directly connect The Vamp to the car hi-fi with a jack to jack 3.5mm audio cable. Please note: The Vamp will make these speakers into Bluetooth speakers but not portable. They will require a separate power source. BE LOUDER CONNECT TWO SPEAKERS Put wires from both speakers into the speaker connectors of The Vamp.*
* Connect two 4 Ohm speakers in parallel. Make sure positive wires and the negative wires are connected together in the same speaker connector. If the wires are not connected together correctly, the sound quality will be poor. Please note:
This option will reduce the play time. Connecting two speakers to The Vamp will not give stereo sound. The output is mono. Connecting speakers in series is not recommended. Do not allow the wires to touch. Do not connect three speakers or two 2 Ohm speakers. TROUBLESHOOTING When powered on, The Vamp will automatically reconnect with the last recognised paired device if the Bluetooth connection of the device remains on. If you are out of the Bluetooth range you will experience connection loss. When this happens The Vamp will make a disconnect tone. It will search for a device for 10 mins and automatically reconnect if your device re-
enters the Bluetooth range. If necessary, turn off The Vamp and your device. Switch both on and reconnect. If there is sound distortion:
