Be sure to take a few minutes to watch the enclosed DVD. There are several things you need to know in order to have the best experience when using our BPSTM technology. I am confident that if you watch the DVD and fully understand the System, you will never play another round of golf without it. Find it. Play it. Chris Savarese Founder and President The System & Regulatory Information The System will find your ball under water. The Handheld will locate ALL RadarGolf balls within proximity when you are looking for your ball. Therefore, it is important that you place all of your extra balls in the ShieldItTM pouch that is provided. When searching for your ball, be sure to continually rotate your wrist as you are making a sweeping motion with your arm extended from your body. This will maximize the antenna power and provide for better success in locating your ball. WARNING:
Do not disassemble the Handheld Do not cut open the golf ball or put it in a microwave Dispose of batteries properly, following local regulations. Do not incinerate batteries. The User is cautioned that making changes or modifications not expressly approved by RadarGolf is against FCC regulations, and could void the Users authority to operate the equipment. This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Assembled in the Philippines. Patents Pending. This device complies FCC radiation exposure limits in section 1.1307 set forth for an uncontrolled environment, and users must follow specific operating instructions for satisfying RF exposure compliance. To comply with RF radiation exposure requirements in FCCs Rules, the RadarGolf Handheld must be operated so that there is a separation distance of at least 20 cm (8 in) between all persons and the antenna. Only handheld operation is allowed , with the antenna pointing away from the operator. Quick Start Place unused balls in the Shield>It pouch so that the Handheld does not those balls with the one you are trying to locate. Use the small ShieldIt pouch if you intend to carry a ball with you in your pocket as you search. Go to the general vicinity where you think you think your ball is located. Point the Handheld to the ground and turn it ON. You will hear one beep as it powers up, and then you will hear either one or three beeps after that. One beep means that the Handheld is clear and ready to proceed. Three beeps means that the Handheld is detecting a radio signal already. The signal strength will be shown on the LCD. If the signal strength is strong after the power up and three beeps, check yourself or those near you to make sure that you do not have an exposed RadarGolf ball that the Handheld may be detecting. If that is the case, hide that ball in the Shield>It pouch and then turn the Handheld OFF. Point the Handheld to the ground and turn it ON again. If the signal strength is weak after the power up and three beeps, then that means the Handheld is detecting a signal but the signal is not that close. This may indicate that it is detecting your lost ball. Proceed to find your ball. After you have turned ON the unit, raise your arm shoulder high and parallel to the ground, and use a sweeping motion to scan the area. As you sweep back and forth in the direction you believe the ball to be, rotate your wrist at the same time so the antenna power is maximized. Once you get a signal, walk in that direction so you get a stronger signal as you walk. When the LCD has ALL bars filled, you are right at your ball and you should be able to point the handheld to the ground and be just several feet from your ball. Table of Contents Getting Started

Central to this technology is a microchip that is embedded in the core of the ball during the manufacturing process. The microchip in the ball receives a radio frequency signal from the Handheld and sends it back. The ball performance is not affected in any way by the microchip being placed in the core. But, it is important that you understand a few key instructions that are critical to having a quality experience. Please read the following pages and watch the instructional DVD. Getting Started Contents of the Package In the box you purchased, you should have the following:
One handheld One Handheld protective case One dozen golf balls Two Shield>It pouches (one small and one large) Instructional DVD Six AAA batteries Getting Started Installing and Replacing the Batteries The battery hatch is located underneath the handle Push in the two buttons on the side of the Handheld to release the two battery hatch latches Pry open the hatch door and load the six AAA batteries replace hatch door and press the door near the two latches so that the hatch door closes. Drawing shows focus on the hatch and two release buttons Drawing shows the battery hatch door half open Getting Started Installing and Replacing the Batteries The LCD will display an image of a battery in three segments When all three parts of the battery image are filled, then the batteries are at full power. As the batteries lose power, a segment of the battery icon will lose its color. It is time to change the batteries when the icon blinks Drawing showing battery icon with all segments filled Drawing showing battery icon with two segments filled System Overview System Overview What you Need The system includes three important components Shield>it Pouch Handheld Ball Shield>it Pouch The Handheld will locate ANY RadarGolf ball that is in within detection range. The Shield>It pouch is provided so you can store your unused RadarGolf balls in a place that will contain the Radio Frequency waves. Shield>It pouches are made with a special metallic fabric that will hold in the RF signals and allow the Handheld to find only your lost ball when you are searching. Be sure to use the large pouch in your golf bag to store up to a dozen balls and use the small pouch if you want to carry a ball in your pocket. Drawing of large pouch Drawing of small pouch System Overview Handheld Drawing of HH pointing out the features System Overview Ball The RadarGolf ball is designed to provide the best combination of distance and feel. Use cutout image OR full ball image with text to describe the features/benefits Using the System Turning the Handheld ON and OFF
(Remember, prior to using the system, place your unused RadarGolf balls in the Shield>It pouch) Approach the general vicinity where you believe your ball to be. The detection range is 30 100 feet slide the fingers of your right hand through the handle and hold it with the LCD facing you. Point the Handheld toward the ground and press the ON button. You do not need to continue pressing the ON button as it will stay ON for five minutes (the allowable time to search for a ball.) When you turn ON the Handheld, you will hear a beep that signals the system is powering up, then you will hear either one beep indicating a clean start, or you will hear three consecutive beeps which indicates an in progress start. The two types of starts are explained on the following page, and understanding this concept is critical to a quality find. Using the System Clean vs. an In Progress start Clean Start After the initial beep when you turn on the unit, you will hear one more beep and that indicates a clean start. This means that the Handheld does not detect any RF signals when checking the immediate area during a power up. You are now ready to search for your ball. In Progress Start If you hear three consecutive beeps after the initial beep when the Handheld powers up, then you have an in progress start. This means that the handheld has detected an RF signal when it checks the immediate area during a power up. The signal strength it is detecting will be shown on the LCD. If the signal strength is strong after the power up and three beeps, check yourself or those near you to make sure that you do not have an exposed RadarGolf ball that the Handheld may be detecting. If that is the case, hide that ball in the Shield>It pouch and then turn the Handheld OFF. Point the Handheld to the ground and turn it ON again for a clean start. Using the System Clean vs. In Progress start (continued) In Progress Start (continued) If the signal strength is weak after the power up and three beeps, then the Handheld is detecting a signal but the signal is not that close. This may indicate that it is detecting your lost ball. You may do one of two things:
1) Proceed to find your ball based on this in progress start. The handheld has set itself so it will only look for signals that are stronger than what it already detected during the power up. You should still be able to find your ball as you get closer to it. 2) Look for any other devices (such as a cell phone or something in the golf cart) that may be causing the Handheld to start in progress. If you think there is a device other than your ball causing the in progress start, try to shield it and then turn the Handheld OFF and ON again to see if you can get a clean start. Using the System Searching For Your Ball You have now powered up and you are in either clean or in progress start mode Hold the Handheld out in front of you shoulder high, arm parallel to the ground. (image) Sweep your arm left and right horizontally, back and forth in the direction you believe your ball to be (image) While you make a sweeping motion, also rotate your wrist so the Handheld is making continual quarter turns. This wrist rotating motion will allow the antenna maximum power.
(image) Using the System Detecting the Ball When the Handheld detects a signal, you will hear a beeping sound and you will also see bars start to fill on the LCD. Continue to sweep the area until you begin to receive a stronger signal. Move in the direction that the stronger signal is coming from. As the audio tone gets louder and the LCD fills in more bars, continue to sweep with your arm and rotate your wrist, moving in the direction of the signal. As all of the bars are close to being filled, you can begin to hone in on your ball by pointing the Handheld toward the ground. You can do this when you only have a couple bars left to fill on the LCD. You should have ALL BARS FILLED on the LCD by the time you get to your ball. At that time you are only a few feet from your ball. Conformance with the USGA Rules of Golf The USGA allows the use of the RadarGolf System for posting USGA (GHIN) handicaps. The RadarGolf ball is listed on the USGA conforming list of golf balls. Note: The use of the RadarGolf System is not allowed for USGA sanctioned tournament play. Find it. Play it.
