Charging Your Headphone IMPORTANT: Your headphone operates on a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Although the battery was fully charged when it left our factory, like all rechargeable batteries it can begin to discharge during periods of non-use. We recommend that you charge the battery for at least 2.5 hours before first time use. Computer USB port Computer connected to working outlet USB Adaptor
(not included) OR found on a notebook computer, or the charging adapter for an iPod, iPhone, etc. 1. Connect the micro USB plug on the charging cable to the micro USB port on the headphone. 2. Connect the standard USB plug on the charging cable to any standard USB power port such as The Power/Charging/Pairing LED indicator will glow RED while the headphone is charging. The LED indicator will turn off when the battery is fully charged. Reminder: Allow the battery to charge for 2.5 hours before first time use. Normal recharge time after first use should take about 2.5 hours. When fully charged the battery provides up to 15 hours of working time, or 90 days of standby time. Because your iB86 headphones use Bluetooth version 4.0 the battery level indicator of the headphones may also appear on your smartphone home screen, usually adjacent to the phones own battery level indicator, if your specific phone supports this display function. 3. Multi-Function Button (MFB) Pressing the button answers/ends phone calls, controls Play/Pause function. 4. Switching the Power On and Off 1. Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds. The voice prompt will say Power On and the LED indicator turns BLUE and flashes two times per second. 2. When the power is On press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds. The voice prompt will say Power Off. The LED indicator remains on briefly and then shuts off. This indicates that the power is Off. 5. Manually Pairing With a Bluetooth Enabled Smartphone or Music Player For The First Time If your smartphone or music player is Bluetooth compatible (supports the A2DP Bluetooth Profile) you may pair these iHome headphones with your phone or music player to listen to music and make or receive calls as long as the two devices are within the Bluetooth operating range of approximately 33-feet of each other. Note: Your iHome headphones must be in the Power Off mode to begin the manual pairing process. 1. Make sure that your iHome iB86 headphones are switched Off. Make sure that your smartphone or music player is On. 2. Press and hold the Power button on your iB86 headphones for about 6 seconds until you hear the Power On and Pairing voice prompts. The LED indicator begins alternately flashing blue and red to indicate it is trying to pair with a compatible device. 3. If necessary, turn on the Bluetooth function of your phone or music player so that it begins searching for a compatible device. 4. iHome iB86 should appear on your phone or music players compatible devices list. You may also see a message such as Not Paired. Tap on that message to complete the pairing process. If your phone or music player asks for a password to complete the pairing process, enter 0000 on the keypad of your phone or music player. 5. When pairing is successful the screen on your phone should show iHome iB86 Connected or similar message and you will hear the voice prompt say Your device is connected. The LED indicator on the iB86 headphones will begin flashing blue two times per second. Your headphones are now ready for use. NOTE: If your iB86 headphones are not able to find a Bluetooth device that is in range and discoverable after 3 minutes, the headphones will automatically power Off to preserve the battery. 6. Auto-Linking With A Previously Paired Device If your iB86 headphones were previously paired with a Bluetooth enabled smartphone or music player they will attempt to auto-link with that device again whenever that device is within the Bluetooth operating range. Press and hold the Power button on your iB86 headphones for about 3 seconds until you hear the Power On voice prompt. If a previously paired device is found to be within range and turned On the iB86 will re-link with it automatically. You will hear a beep tone and the voice prompt will say Your device is connected. Note: If no previously paired device is found after 3 minutes the auto-linking function stops and your iB86 headphones shut off automatically to preserve the battery life. 7. Wearing Your Headphones Your iHome iB86 Bluetooth headphones are supplied with padded ear cushions for long wearing comfort. The headband can be extended to accommodate almost any head size. There are L and R markings on the inside of the headband, When the headphones are worn properly the controls will be on your right side. 8. Using Your Headphones Note: Some of the functions described may not be supported on your specific smartphone. Check with your smartphone owners manual to confirm the features supported by your phone. 1 2 4 Action Required When headphones are Off press and hold the power button for 3 seconds until you hear the "Power On" voice prompt. Auto Power Off if no device paired within 3 minutes. When headphones are Off press and hold the power button for 6 seconds until you hear the "Pairing" voice prompt. Auto Power Off if no device paired within 3 minutes. Make sure your Bluetooth device is On and discoverable. When iHome iB86 appears on your devices menu, select it to complete pairing. Short press the MFB to start playback. Short press to pause playback. Short press to resume playback. Short press the + button during playback. Short press the button during playback. Press and hold the + button during playback. At max volume you will hear the "Maximum Volume" voice prompt. Press and hold the - button during playback. Short press the MFB. NOTE: Music will automatically pause when you are answering a call and resume when you end the call. Double press the MFB to decline the incoming call. call waiting Turn headphones Off Short press the MFB to end the call and hang up. While the call is in progress double press the MFB to transfer the call between the phone and the headphone. When phone is paired with headphone but no call is in progress, double press the MFB to redial the last number. Short press the MFB to place the current call on hold and answer an incoming 2nd call. Short press the MFB again to return to previous call. Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds until your hear the Power Off prompt and LED indicator shuts off. 9. Auxiliary Input Jack and Cable The auxiliary input jack allows you to use your iB86 Bluetooth headphones as normal headphones so that you can listen to music on any non-Bluetooth device that is equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Connect the included cable to the auxiliary input jack on the bottom of the R" earpiece of your iB86 headphones, and to the headphone jack of your auxiliary music source. Your iB86 headphones should be in the Power Off mode. Use the volume and track navigation controls on your music player as you would with any normal headphones. Use of the Hangtag Cord Wrap 1 Unfold hangtag 2 3 Remove hangtag from package Insert cable at plug end into one of the slots on one end of the hangtag. Wrap cable around middle of hangtag as desired and insert remainder through slot on other end of hangtag. TROUBLESHOOTING 1. Reception is noisy or intermittent Make sure that the headphones and the paired device are within the Bluetooth operating range of approximately 33 feet. 2. No Sound Make sure that your headphones are properly paired and connected with your Bluetooth enabled smartphone or music player. Refer to the Pairing instructions in this manual and in the manual supplied with your phone or music player if necessary. The rechargeable battery in your headphones may be exhausted and need to be recharged. Refer to the Charging Your Headphones instructions in this manual. 3. Unable to Pair/Connect The pairing settings between the headphones and your smartphone or music player may have been erased or deleted. Follow the Pairing instructions in this manual to re-pair and reconnect the devices. Turn off any other Bluetooth devices that are not being used to reduce external interference. 4. Some Functions Do Not Work Your specific model of smartphone may not support some of the functions described in this manual. Refer to the manual supplied with your phone for further information. CARE AND MAINTENANCE Always remember to turn your headphones off if they will not be used for a long period of time. Do not expose your headphones to extremely hot or cold temperatures for extended periods. Do not expose them to direct sunlight or leave them in places such as the dashboard of your car on a hot day. Prevent water or any other liquids from entering the cabinets of your headphones. Protect Your Hearing Using these, or any headphones at high volume levels for long periods can result in permanent hearing damage. Always start listening with volume controls on your headphones and your paired smartphone or music player at a low level and then gradually increase the volume controls to a comfortable listening level. Important Notes It is dangerous and illegal (in some jurisdictions) to use headphones when you are driving a car, riding a bike or motorcycle, or operating a watercraft. Be aware of local laws and regulations. Do not use these headphones in situations where they might cause distractions or prevent you from hearing warning sounds. There are no user serviceable parts in these headphones. Do not attempt any service or repairs on your own. Refer to the warranty for service, repair or replacement information. Internal Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery This device uses an internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery that should last the lifetime of the device. If you suspect your battery may be dead, try charging it several times. If the battery does not recharge, please contact us for repair information. If the battery has died and you do not want us to replace your battery, you should follow the disposal instructions below:

Bouton multifonction (BMF) En appuyant sur le bouton rpondre/mettre fin un appel, couplage, lecture et Pause. 4. Allumer/teindre 1. Maintenez appuy le bouton d'alimentation pendant environ 3 secondes. Le message vocal Power On sera mis et le tmoin devient bleu et se met clignoter lentement. 2. Lorsque l'appareil est allum , maintenez appuy le bouton d'alimentation pendant environ 3 secondes. Le message vocal Power Off sera mis. Le tmoin s'allume brivement en rouge, puis s'teint. Cela indique que l'appareil est teint . 5.Couplage manuel avec un smartphone ou lecteur audio compatible Bluetooth pour la premire fois Si votre smartphone ou lecteur audio, tel qu'iPod touch, est compatible Bluetooth (supporte le profil Bluetooth A2DP) vous pouvez le coupler avec ce casque iHome pour couter de la musique et effectuer ou recevoir des appels tant que les deux appareils se trouvent dans la porte Bluetooth qui est d'environ 10 mtres. Le tmoin se met clignoter rapidement en rouge et bleu indiquant que le casque essaie de se coupler avec un appareil compatible. 3. Si ncessaire, activez la fonction Bluetooth de votre tlphone ou lecteur audio pour qu'il commence rechercher un appareil compatible. 4. iHome iB86 doit apparatre dans la liste des appareils compatibles de votre tlphone ou lecteur audio. Vous pouvez galement voir un message du type Not Paired . Touchez ce message pour poursuivre le processus de couplage. Si votre tlphone ou lecteur audio vous demande un mot de passe pour poursuivre le processus de couplage, entrez 0000 en l'utilisateur le clavier de votre tlphone ou lecteur audio. 5. Lorsque le couplage est russi, l'cran de votre tlphone affichera iHome iB86 Connected ou un message similaire et le tmoin du casque iB86 reste allum. Votre casque est maintenant prt l'emploi.

REMARQUE : Si le casque iB86 narrive pas dtecter un appareil Bluetooth dtectable qui est porte dans les 3 minutes, il steint automatiquement pour conomiser la batterie 6.Connexion automatique avec un appareil prcdemment coupl Si votre casque iB86 a dj t coupl avec un smartphone ou lecteur audio compatible Bluetooth, il essaie de se connecter automatiquement cet appareil chaque fois quil se trouve dans la porte Bluetooth. Maintenez appuy le bouton d'alimentation de votre casque iB86 pendant environ 3 secondes jusqu'
ce que vous entendiez Power On ; Si un priphrique coupl se trouve tre porte et active 'On'
la iB86 va rtablir le lien avec elle automatiquement. Vous entendrez un bip et le message vocal dira Votre appareil est connect."
Remarque : Si aucun priphrique dj coupl n'est trouv au bout de 3 minutes, la fonction de connex-
ion automatique s'arrtera et votre casque iB86 s'teint automatiquement pour conomiser la batterie. 7. Port du casque Votre casque iHome iB86 Bluetooth est livr avec des oreillettes rembourres pour un plus grand confort lors des longues priodes d'utilisation. Le bandeau peut tre allong pour sadapter toute forme de tte. Les lettres L et R sont inscrites sur le bandeau ; lorsque le casque est port correctement le bouton multifonction doit tre votre droite. 8. Utilisation du casque Remarque : Certaines des fonctions dcrites ci-dessous peuvent ne pas tre prises en charge par votre smartphone. Consultez le guide d'utilisation de votre smartphone pour connatre les fonctions prises en charge. Lorsque le casque est teint , maintenez appuye le bouton BMF vers lintrieur pendant 6 secondes jusqu' ce que vous entendiez Pairing . Le tmoin clignote rapidement en bleu et rouge. Assurez-vous que votre appareil Bluetooth est allum et en mode couplage. Lorsque iHome iB86 apparat dans le menu de lappareil, le slectionner pour terminer le couplage. Appuyez brivement sur le bouton BMF pour lancer la lecture. Appuyez brivement pour suspendre la lecture. Appuyez brivement pour reprendre la lecture. Appuyez sur la touche >> durant la lecture Appuyez sur la touche << OK pour lire Maintenez appuye la touche + pendant la lecture Maintenez appuye la touche - pendant la lecture Appuyez brivement sur le bouton BMF lorsque vous entendez la sonnerie dun appel entrant. REMARQUE : La musique est automatiquement suspendue lorsque vous rpondez un appel et reprend lorsque vous terminez l'appel. Maintenez appuye le bouton BMF pendant 1 2 secondes pour refuser l'appel. Appuyez brivement sur le bouton BMF pour terminer l'appel et raccrocher . Pendant l'appel, appuyez deux fois sur le bouton BMF vers l'intrieur pour transfrer l'appel entre le tlphone et le casque. Lorsque le tlphone est coupl avec le casque et aucun appel nest en cours, appuyez deux fois sur le bouton BMF vers l'intrieur pour recomposer le dernier numro Double Appuyez sur le bouton BMF pour placer l'appel en cours en attente et rpondre au 2e appel entrant. Double Appuyez nouveau pour basculer entre les appels. Maintenez appuy le bouton BMF vers l'intrieur pendant 3 secondes jusqu' ce que vous entendiez Power Off et l'extinction du tmoin 9. Prise d'entre auxiliaire La prise d'entre auxiliaire vous permet d'utiliser votre casque Bluetooth iB86 comme un casque normal de manire pouvoir couter de la musique partir de tout appareil non-Bluetooth quip d'une sortie casque 3,5mm. Branchez un connecteur du cble dans l'entre auxiliaire situe en bas de loreillette R du casque iB86, et lautre connecteur dans la sortie casque de votre source audio auxiliaire. Votre casque iB86 doit tre teint. Utilisez les touches de rglage du volume et de contrle des pistes de votre lecteur audio comme vous le feriez avec tout casque normal. Utilisation du cordon dtiquette volante 1 3 2 Retirer cordon ltiquette volante de lemballage. Dplier ltiquette volante. 1 2 4 Insrer le cble lextrmit de la fiche dans l'une des fentes sur une extrmit de ltiquette volante. Rception bruyante ou intermittente Veillez ce que le casque et l'appareil coupl soient dans la porte Bluetooth qui est d'environ 10 mtres. 2. Pas de son Assurez-vous que votre casque est correctement coupl et connect avec votre smartphone ou lecteur audio compatible Bluetooth.
